- The eBowIn William's World·2 July 2020As we know, Bill is the undisputed master of the eBow. One thing that has always puzzled me. Seeing Bill play eBow live, he seems to switch to it with no change of volume, no pot adjustment, no pedal. You can see this (I believe!) in Beyond These Clouds The Sweetest Dream on the Rocketeers DVD (if you don't have this, BUY IT NOW). Yet in my own humble experience with an eBow, there is a MASSIVE increase in gain when you use it and the entire house starts to shake and crumble until you quickly hit the volume pedal! I should add that my eBow is the modern plastic-case version not the stainless steel original which I believe Bill has. best wishes to all! Toby15386

- Jean Cocteau questionIn William's World·31 March 2020Bill, was there a particular film, photograph, drawing, poem, novel, painting or audio recording by Jean Cocteau that drew you in to his orbit or was it more of a gradual accumulation? Is there a particular Cocteau work that stands out and/or that you return to for inspiration in the present day?15245
- Potential Bill Nelson album covers. In The World And His Wife23 October 2023...Using an AI image that I generated, and various adjustments and textures etc, for a balanced and aged look. I'm really pleased with the colors/color grading in this one. Quite similar to Judas Priest's 2nd album cover, 'Sad Wings of Destiny', a favourite artwork of mine.15

- A weird, wonderful, moderately priced guitarIn William's World·15 March 2019Recently discovered this striking instrument by NK Guitars, an independent Chinese company. It's from their Club range which retail around £300 (plus import duties). It has a dual coil splitter operated by an outie tone control, two decent quality stock humbuckers and a unique tuning system operated by a tiny tuning 'crank' which is magnetically housed in a recess in the side of the bridge when not in use. Build quality is variable, so a set-up is necessary, but once that's done, it's a smart guitar.15365

- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World27 September 2020The Seekers', in the 1960s. What's the connection with myself? Well, when I met my very first 'steady' girlfriend, (Lynne Holiday,) in the early part of the '60s at Wakefield's Mecca Locarno Ballroom, I thought that she looked very much like Judith Durham from the Seekers. As Judith was quite attractive, I plucked up the courage to ask Lynne to dance with me. We had a steady relationship for three or four years after that. 😉15

- PhotosIn World Outside The Window25 March 2023Huh. Yup and I've got my Adidas cricket hat on. One of these ... It's been so cold lately, I've usually been wearing one of these ... My hair's so crazy-long that any hat's too warm too soon. There's no pleasing some people. In answer to your question though, I've got many hats and I keep acquiring more of them. Did Basil Fawlty wear two-at-once? Is John Cleese really going ahead with a reboot?1

- Potential Bill Nelson album covers. In The World And His Wife23 November 2024Thanks for the reply Quinault. Without wishing to come across as impolite, or rude even, just a couple of points. Firstly, ofc I know what DIY means, if I didn't, at 64 years of age, that would quite literally be tragic on several levels....and secondly, I fully understand the concept and process of this particular project, with the (your) end goal being a personal thankyou (for services rendered), from you to Wadcorp. And, just to clarify, I am also fully aware of, and understand the concept of, the Dreamsville Projects and what they were all about, which I always thought was a great collaborative idea/project and still do. I think it's really cool and I would always be happy to help/participate/contribute in any future projects (if asked), providing family life, general life, and work commitments, allowed. So it was just me not understanding why you posted "It is a (DIY/Unofficial) Bill Nelson Album Cover.", or what that was trying to say in relation to my preceding post....and TBH, I still don't...but whatever, we'll leave that there. I hope you don't find this reply a negative one, it's certainly not meant to be, I'm just trying to make the general situation a little less confused and more comprehensible. Very often internet exchanges can be somewhat ambiguous in nature.... Anyway, thanks for the kind and positive words, much appreciated.🙏👍💪1
- Castanarc ~ MaydayIn World Outside The Window·12 June 2020This has been released on an album this year... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msyYkrm-i5c The album it's from is on Bandcamp...https://castanarc.bandcamp.com/album/water-from-the-well It's from 1990 apparently. Not sure it's been on an album before and I can't see a reference to it in the Music section though I'm probably wrong.15182
