Dont seem to recall these tracks being mentioned before ,but on watching Bill and John Leckie on the above ..a track running order with additional tracks was shown , never heard of these tracks ..they were
Joanna Nearly Shipwrecked
Stars in the Eyes Of Emily
Waiting for the Spirit Girls
Affairs of the Heart
Zones
Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
Thrill Seekers
Change of Heart
any info ??
I think you mean John Leckie, not John Spence! And those 'tracks' were just titles I had in a notebook. No songs with those titles were ever actually written or recorded....
I remember Harold Budd said he’s got notebooks of just titles.
@Alec Yes, Harold does that too. I've kept notebooks full of titles from the late '60/early '70s and constantly fill up new ones. The difficult thing, with my prolific output, is remembering which titles I've actually written and recorded a song for. But they constitute a great archive of potential song titles.
hmmmmmmm,
Waiting for the Spirit Girls to come ... a song well written but unsung
Syllabically and other ways, too, that title reminds me of a song on ‘Luminous’ that hits me in a positive way called ‘Wait For Tomorrow’. Always lifts my spirits does that one. Quite short in length. Love the tone and the bending of the keyboard line and the message of the lyrics.
