- Potential Bill Nelson album covers. In The World And His Wife31 May 2025Currently when using the Safari browser, I get a "Page Not Found" for everything on Dreamsville. So I tried Chrome, and everything looks okay. I even see the three posts that were missing yesterday, as well as the reposts I made. So yes, something weird is going on. What browser are you using, Tourist? .1
- Potential Bill Nelson album covers. In The World And His Wife31 May 2025If I post two designs separately, the first one just vanishes, seemingly...Definite problem. Trying two together to see if that works. Perhaps Jon needs informing.21

- Why anti-trans?In World Outside The Window1 June 2025David, yes of course you are right. It would seem that many people may feel a sense of satisfaction at creating and disenfranchising an 'out' group - a Ryuichi Sakamoto title was 'Thatness and thereness' - which is, of course, self explanatory, and, I think, wholly applicable to this worsening situation.11

- Love the Whirls box setIn William's World20 May 2025Below is my understanding of the complete (known) studio sessions for TLTW. This is a *very large* number of songs that presumably exist as original multi-track tapes suitable for 5.1 and a fresh stereo remix/downmix. This excites me, because the complete *sessions* will be presented with a uniform approach to sonics/dynamics/etc. (I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the original mixes, but they and their masters have a range of dynamics, as you move among the album, the singles, and the E.P.) For definitive releases such as the Cherry Red boxes, I advocate for restoring the running order of the original LPs. (e.g., Ignore the history of reissues that swap out mixes, add b-sides to the middle of the album, etc.) Thought of that way, TLTW studio sessions look like this: THE LOVE THAT WHIRLS Empire of the Senses Hope for the Heartbeat (original LP version) Waiting For Voices A Private View Eros Arriving The Bride of Christ in Autumn When Your Dream of Perfect Beauty Comes True Flaming Desire Portrait of Jan with Flowers The Crystal Elevator in the Palace of God Department Store Echo in Her Eyes (The Lamps of Oblivion) The October Man SINGLES & B-SIDES Eros Arriving (single version/original mix) Haunting in My Head Flesh He and Sleep Were Brothers The Passion The Burning Question Hope for the Heartbeat (remix) Flaming Desire (extended remix) SAVAGE GESTURES FOR CHARM’S SAKE (One of these tracks is a home recording, the other five from TLTW sessions.) The Man in the Rexine Suit Watching My Dream Boat Go Down in Flames The Meat Room Narcosis Another Happy Thought (Carved Forever In Your Cortex) Portrait of Jan with Moon and Stars55

- Be careful what you wish for.In William's World·23 May 2025Further delving into QDAGOTB Boxset I was expecting Banal (extended mix) to be just that but it’s not. The excellent cd3SWT mix is 4.14 long but not on cd2. Considering the length of cd2 perhaps an unfortunate compromise was made. Anyone agree…any thoughts?34264

- Monthly newsletter for May is finally published...In William's World27 May 2025Sorry PM, I missed your earlier comment! 🥴 As you say, there is a ‘sign-up’ form at the bottom of every page in Dreamsville, we try to keep subscribers up to date with Bandcamp releases, CD releases and any rumours from planet Nelson.1
- It Ships! In William's World·9 May 2025Well, my Quit Dreaming box set is in the mail. Hoping tariff stupidity doesn’t inflate the price too much, or delay it unnecessarily. Usually Cherry Red stuff reaches me on the release date.323677
- Be careful what you wish for.In William's World23 May 2025I was wondering who would be the first to spot this... You are correct - the version titled 'extended mix' is the same as the original version. The Steven W Tyler remixed version is the extended version that was used on the 12" single (it basically has another, "I know You, You know me..." bit just before the end guitar solo). I'm guessing that they got the master tape 'versions' mixed up somehow???22
- People who do things.... are people who get things doneIn William's World·17 May 2025For those who haven't yet recieved the new box set, a few images.... Reverse of the post cards Post cards of stills from the DYDIC? video Front of the folder for the CDs Front of the booklet Bluray is in a separate card cover and there's also a poster promoting DYDIC? I've only had a chance to listen to the Bluray (in straight stereo with my player attached to the hifi, as I don't have a 5.1 setup) and, to me, the soundstage is more expansive. Well done to Stephen W Tayler 👏61229
- Invisibility Exhibition ToursIn William's World24 May 2025A bit late in the day methinks, but! : I was at the gig at the very front. I got a little crushed and security lifted me up onto the stage. I was told to go backstage and make my way to the back of the crowd. Bill had just finished a song and overheard/saw what was going on. Bill insisted I stay put and I was given a chair (much to my embarrassment) to sit at the side of the stage. Don't suppose you caught those on any photographs? Thanks1
- Love the Whirls box setIn William's World·1 May 2025Given the wonderful box sets for Be Bop and beyond to Red Noise and Bill’s solo work what are the chances of a Love that Whirls/Chimera box set? I’m sure there would be plenty of material!916711

- Orchestra Futura at Fairview StudiosIn William's World20 May 2025It makes sense to have something out there by Orchestra Futura as they are something of a missing link in the BN discography. Is is known this is a polished up live recording, or is that speculation?12
