A review of the two, 3-CD boxed sets of the work of art-rocker Bill Nelson's 70's band, Be-Bop Deluxe

So I wrote Cherry Red Records, and they replied today that the versions included here are the box-set REMASTERS rather than the REMIXES.

I too cannot find any information that confirms Remasters or Remixes, however Esoteric only use "newly remastered" and no mention of any remixes. My guess is they used the same masters of the original stereo mixes that were created for the respective boxed sets, and the "newly" part has been to drop off the bonus tracks on the boxed set CDs to leave the original track lists on this new release. There is a contact form on the Esoteric website, so you could ask them for confirmation. I have the boxed sets and won't be buying this release.

I do have a question or two about this set. Does anyone know if the discs included are the box-set REMASTERS or the box-set REMIXES. I'm also interested in the packaging. There are no photos on Discogs aside from the cover, so I'm wondering what the sleeves and discs look like, and what the booklet consists of. Thanks in advance.

Personally a step too far to purchase…I’ve got enough…think I might play our original lps, somewhat well worn, especially the covers, to enjoy the experience and occasional jumps & crackles & dust noise accompaniment…🤣😎🤘✌️
