I'm at the beginning of Bobby Gillespie's book and it's pretty good so far... He mentions that he used to like to hear 'Maid In Heaven' on the radio as a youngster. And something about the Axe Victim and Sunburst Finish album covers being stylish, but preferring the jacked-up punk album album art from the late 70's. To each his own, but I thought it was cool that he gives Be Bop Deluxe a mention or two.

Hi...I've really enjoyed the newer recordings and 'Return To Tomorrow'. 'Freak Me Out' and 'Chills For You' stand out for me. I really like the drum sounds you used on that album as well as on 'Luminous'. May you please tell me the name of that drum machine or keyboard - Bill or someone in the know? Retrofuturistically yours, lifelong listener.

Hi folks. I recently found out that Mark Mothersbaugh almost died from Covid 19. Glad he's recovered. Mark and another artist are inviting anyone to send them postcards as a way to help save the U.S. Postal Service. Here's a link: https://www.postartfordemocracy.com/ I was doing some winter cleaning and found some old coffee stained Nelsonian Navigators with 2 of Bill's old promo postcards. I added some "get well" sayings to it and mailed them to Mutato Muzika. Now I'm thinking about the soundtrack Bill provided for that postal stamp designer tv program...Picture Post. I saw most of it on youtube. Even though I'm not much of a stamp art admirer, the music works well with the stories.

Hi Bill. Are you checking out any of the simulated amp sounds in Cubase or from other plugin companies? Here some info you may like https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products/bx_megadual.html I'm not into metal btw...😆

Hi Bill. Hope you and your family are ok. Just a humble request to please put one of your many albums, 'Custom Deluxe' on sale. I remember hearing 'Kitchenette' and really liking it. Looking forward to 'Wild Surprizes and Amplified Dreams' and many others. I hope the learining curve on Cubase is getting past the white knuckle stage and looking forward to your next journal entry with keen anticipation. From the root to the fruit, Mark C. Sotelo

Here I go championing Reason 10 again...hey Bill - I read one of your latest journals where Cubase wasn't installing right. I went through something similar with this free Cubase 10 LE AI DAW. I tried to mess with it just today and still can't easily figure out how to get audio going from a MIDI track. I'm sure Cubase is great once you wrap your head around it...but way too much stuff all over the screen in my opinion. Reason seems easier and more intuitive. Just looking forward to hearing what you do in the DAW world...it's gonna be spectacular! Please - more drum and bass loops (Flipside). Ha!

I know, I know...waste of time. But Steve Jones asks David Coverdale a question that I thought was interesting for about 2 seconds. Check it out at the 29:17 mark.
