Dave, I have developed a similar condition. Thank you for your post--if it helps a bit - you're not alone. Thank goodness my memory is still there, but I slur and shuffle around the house and dexterity is not good. I'm doing the clinical trial thing...the best thing that I can do now is eat good (the Mind Diet) and take my supplements. Thanks for the videos. I've seen some parts of them. I'm getting a glimpse of what my older brother (who turned me on to Be Bop Deluxe) experienced when they toured over here in southern California. Good health to Bill and us.

I agree...I think I may have slighted him for his vocals before. but I much prefer his singing over Morrisey's. Morrisey was good in the 80's, but Johnny's vocals brings the Smith's songs up to date IMHO. Glad and not surprized he likes Bill's playing. #1 on my list with Hendrix and Marr close behind.

Is Bill alright? I love this site, but its getting kinda uninteresting without Bill's journal update. A new Nelsonica would be great - pay per view again?

I've listened to 'Tender Is The Night' many times...mainly in my high school years. It was the soundtrack to some crush I had on a girl. I much preferred 'Glow World' instead...with Mick Karn's bassline it just goes down less tender.

Excellent! I'm still curious about Amplified Dreams And Wild Surprises. I remember you stated that some songs reminded you of the Stones...but I know it's a more alternative version of that style. Sounds good to me. Here's to longevity.

I'm thinking about Emmerdale ('93-'95) when I listen to this album. Wish I could hang out at a place called the Woolpack...Good thing that I'm outta the house more often. Love this album though!

@Alec Ah...very interesting thread here -at least between us. You know your music well and it seems we're from the same ilk music-wise (Bill's fans for starters). Lots of great singers there...the first time I heard Yaz's 'Situation' on the radio, I thought at first it was Depeche Mode (probably their youngest #1 fan at 11 years old and went to one of their first gigs in CA. in Pasadena--woohoo) ...but on hearing the singing I thought they replaced Dave Gahan with a black guy. But I like Alison Moyet's singing, Bjork is dope, Kim Deal--yup, Kim Gordon...it just depends on my mood. Your experience with your jr high school playing Firecracker and bringing some racial harmony is cool! Closest as I can remember at my middle school in Altadena is Another One Bites The Dust--not as eclectic as Oakland. Wonder how Bill's doing...be cool.

@Alec definitely creates a vibe and respect the talent—just not my bag though. Elizabeth Frazier was my go to dream pop female singer back then
