It’s always easy for me to return the fantastic albums after 1981 up to and including but yesterday and today hearing BN’s 2021 opus takes me forward to somewhere new and special.

…predictive text is a pain…I have set myself a task of playing all my mixtape homemade cdrs…so far I am 556!….also I am reordering my cd collection chronologically. It’s the most sensible option for making sense. It’s clear that however fine Powertron is, and it is, it comes from a different world. Covid did change things and the is somewhere else than 2016. I am hoping I can complete listening to my music collection at least once. Obviously repeats will happen on purpose or otherwise. I count myself luCKy.

Just sent this to my brother……the more I listen the more delighted I am - the New Stereo Mix is awesome…enhanced keyboards/synths & voice….amazing… It’s a 2022 Red Noise!

My brother and I with friends managed to get front row seats to this show. Unfortunately I remember little but didn’t BN start the show then stop 🛑 it and start again as he was wasn’t happy with their ‘Go!’ ?….or is that story just a myth?

I sent this to a friend who doesn’t really get RN. …it is a suitable testament to a short lived but clever & portentous endeavour by the brilliant Bill Nelson…..Perhaps one day he will.

Resisting the temptations of Be Bop Delicious reissues has been difficult but I am sure many like me are keen to revisit the heady BN’s Red Noise. Hopefully Cherry Red or Esoteric are finding live events and other beauties from this finest of BN’s creations. The whole concept remains ever relevant and brilliantly executed. Roll on 2022 and rock out, revolt into style and electrify the atmosphere with Red Noise again….please.

As we look forward to seeing & hearing this, as is the nature of this fan, it’s going to be fun spotting any mistakes missed by the proof reader. It’s a fan thing I am sure but the devil is in the detail and as I love the perfectionism and artistry of Bill Nelson keeping ones feet on the ground is equally important.

Today is a good day to be reminded of the wonders of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis. So that’s what I am doing. Blu-ray 2010 version, reconstructed and restored.
