Stand alone dvds are fine but recently I succumbed to Alcatrazz’s Disturbing The Peace. It’s an excellent 2016 reissue with dvd live in Japan 10 October 1984, coincidentally, which is just brilliant. Bonnet returns to the U.K. shortly. He was fantastic 2 years ago so it’ll be interesting again soon.

Comments like this are wonderful. I am fortunate to have a cell with similar items. My poster wall is better now than when I was a teenager but they only recently got pinned to a wall!….I may manage to listen to it all again before I rock off and hopefully even again…so far my backwards chronology playback is working well…as long as it doesn’t all go in a skip but it won’t be up to me…the pleasures of now surmount when I am over there.

Some artists, Bill Nelson included, bring a greater clarity to the life we are living. Perhaps when we lose them our lives are even clearer.

Modern music to coin a phrase that improved the films enormously and actually is alive and timeless given the nostalgia they encourage. A fine legacy.

🤣…ha yes, yes it’s correct…and verified by a higher power…the SWT version is an ‘updated’ 12”remix…so not as expected and not as ‘advertised’….in the scale of things it’s a mild irritation…and perhaps only that to anoraks like ourselves…🤩

…and in the end Banal (extended mix) didn’t fulfill it’s billing (so disappointing) but we did get as the SWT remix so it becomes a relatively minor issue - and if I play the vinyl original as I can it’s a minimal loss. Another lyrically prophetic BN album done justice by a Boxset.

Personally a step too far to purchase…I’ve got enough…think I might play our original lps, somewhat well worn, especially the covers, to enjoy the experience and occasional jumps & crackles & dust noise accompaniment…🤣😎🤘✌️

Sorry Boswell, no…but ‘White Sound - a mystery to me’ continues. It wasn’t included on the original vinyl but was on subsequent re-releases, of which I have, on cds. On this new excellent Boxset it is but not the lyrics so it just powers it’s way through after Decline and Fall - what’s going on…eh eh?….as with A/E/I the SWT remixes are superbly refreshing…😎🤘✌️

Early in ‘my listening career’ (coz that’s what it’s been) I decided to stick by my purchases. So I have kept all my(our) lps and singles(not many bought actually) and DG and others are correct - repeated listening to music (yes even ‘rock n roll) brings new delights. Obviously BN is one of the greatest music givers….the little laugh/in take of breath before Axe Victim actually says it all as does the track itself - how many years we can enjoy music is also a matter of luck…it’s perhaps driven me mad all this rock n roll but it’s just what the doctor ordered and I like it!
