Ian Nelson and The Colourfield
Don’t know if this has been discussed at least in this iteration, but Virgins and Philistines, the title track of the 1986 long player by The Colourfield, features Ian Nelson on clarinet. It sounds like many atmospheric horns throughout the song prior to the clarinet solo at the end.
I remember really liking the style and the songs on this release and being impressed by all the details, but haven’t listened in a long while. Had forgotten that Ian was on it. Great playing from him. As we all know, this would’ve been around the time of Getting The Holy Ghost Across.
