Cherry Red has now announced the next in what appears to be an ongoing series of Be Bop Deluxe vinyl reissues, this one for 1976's "Modern Music." The release is described as in celebration of the album's 50th Anniversary and it follows hard on the heels of the forthcoming re-issue of "Axe Victim." Here's the link:

Also, as appears to be the case with the "Axe Victim" re-issue, the new edition of "Modern Music," while sporting lovely bespoke labels (featuring a reprint of the album cover), is a reissue of the original master rather than the splendid stereo remix that came with the box set. Or am I incorrect there? I asked this same question as regards "Axe Victim," since earlier vinyl reissues of "Sunburst Finish" and "Futurama" featured the new stereo remixes rather than the new original-mix remaster. So if anyone can shed any more light…
