"It's Been a Long, Strange Trip"..
When Bill said that in "Old Goat", was he referring to the Grateful Dead? You know, the famous lyrics from "Truckin'", "What a long, strange trip it's been"? ???????
I just realized Bill started working on "After The Satellite Sings" a few months after Jerry Garcia (unfortunately) passed away. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, or if that was Bill's subtle tribute to Jerry Garcia. Does anyone know anything or have any info connecting Bill & the Grateful Dead in any way, shape, or form?

Well, I hope those guys in The Grateful Dead got into Be Bop Deluxe. I could imagine Phil Lesh telling the other guys about it/them/Bill.
Could imagine an off-the-hook, outta-sight, super-extended, super-group jam-out, some-of-us-in-altered-states-of-perception version of Shine. š
