Sounding The Ritual Echo
I recently disposed of my vinyl collection (downsizing can be stressful!), and am now working my way through Bill's back catalogue. I snapped up STRE as soon as it became available as a download, and now realise just how radical it was in 1981.
Its lo-fi ambience is quite captivating - not exactly amateurish, but the sound of an artist determined to create something despite the technological restrictions. Great stuff.
