BUDDY MILLER RIG RUNDOWN.
Just had to share this with you. Buddy Miller is one of my favourite guitarists and plays a couple of vintage Wandre guitars. I had an original Wandre Soloist a few years ago and very much regret selling it. (It can be heard on the track 'First Boy On The Moon.' )
Anyway, this is a video of Buddy talking to Premieer Guitar magazine in his home studio. Such a great player and seems like a lovely guy too. I'd love to collaborate on a three way guitar album with Buddy, Bill Frisell and myself. That would be a dream come true for me.
The interview is quite long but well worth watching. A nice connection is the little Viellette 'mandola' style guitar`Buddy demonstrates towards the end of the video. It was made by Joe Villette who built my late '70s Viellette-Citron guitar for me. And check out that stereo tremolo effect that Buddy uses...have to get one go those!
