- Greatest Promotional SchemesIn World Outside The Window·28 December 2021A social media giant that is undergoing scrutiny by its government, has a new product they want to introduce. Instead of having to spend millions on advertising they decide to use the government investigative body and the news media coverage to help introduce their new product. They have an “insider” of the company, report to the investigative body that the company is really “bad”, one ie. hurting children and families, and soon thereafter they present their new and improved version of their social media product – a new media-verse that people can enter. This is based on the campaign conducted by 1st century Jews to later be named Christians: A possible candidate for “messiah hood” is killed – nobody wants a dead, untriumphful messiah, so they modify the triumphal messiah prophecy with a revision that says it’s not earthly triumph that is ultimately important, but life over death, and make the promise that their untriumphal/triumphal messiah has a kingdom in the hereafter, that is so much better than the here and now, and to enter that kingdom, all you have to do is to believe in the untriumphal/triumphal messiah and pay life-long user dues to the messiah’s church to obtain said kingdom. The media giant, who has the grateful user base of billions, really knows how to turn the tale and reinvent it! I tip my hat to media giant! (Leave Lather Be)2561

- Quality of Bill's WorkIn William's World·28 July 2022I've been driving a lot recently and have picked out a batch of "best of" albums to listen to (yes, I still have a CD in the car). ELO, Roxy, Squeeze, Prince, Larry Carlton etc. etc. I also took a few of Bill's CDs that I haven't listen to for a while and when I put Illuminated at Dusk on, it just confirmed to me why I love Bill's work. The playing and recording are pure quality. As much as I enjoy listening to the other work, this, in my opinion, was way above anything else.25367
- Heartfelt Eurovision Entry? In World Outside The Window·20 January 2023Did you read that Public Image Ltd were considered for representing Ireland in this years Eurovision Song Contest? I really did laugh out loud. I had to check out their song. And when I heard it, I stopped laughing. John Lydon is now carer for his wife who is badly affected by dementia; this song is about that. Brought a lump to my throat. Link... Hawaii - YouTube25102

- Instrumental Track of the DayIn World Outside The Window9 July 2023I hadn’t heard of him and assumed maybe because of the sound of the way music sounded and the sheet music providing the visuals that it preceded "A Day In The Life." Found this short documentary on the UPIC 2 on YouTube.2

- "Two-Fold Aspect of Everything" download: Remastered? In William's World20 January 2025Sorry to hear you're not happy with the digital download version... The track listing is very clearly displayed on the Bandcamp page, it also states that the double vinyl was condensed to a single CD for UK release. I don't understand where the confusion could lie? The release schedule for the monthly digital downloads are not just dropped in, but are prepared several months in advance. Had the 'Quit Dreaming' box set not been delayed, then this release would have been after that release. As for remastering...for the tiny amount of digital sales that Bill gets through Bandcamp, paying for a remastered version would make a HUGE hole in any profit he could wish to make. I'm also confused where you say the Store suggests otherwise? It merely says: Digital release January 2025 (Original release February 1985)2

- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World18 May 2020THE BIRTHPLACE OF BE BOP DELUXE... Here is a photograph I took some years ago of Primrose Hill Working Men's Club on Wakefield's ~Eastmoor Estate. It was in this club that, one afternoon, I first got together with Nick Dew, Rob Bryan, Ian Parkin and Richard Brown with a view to possibly forming a band. The club was managed at that time by Rob's father and so we were allowed to use the club's concert room to have a jam. The concert room was closed to members of the public that afternoon so we had the place to ourselves. Although we didn't yet have a nam, the jam session was positive enough for me to decide that we could take things further. From my notebook of song titles and group names, we eventually settled on Be Bop. Deluxe as an appropriate name for the band. Richard Brown, unfortunately, dropped out of the line up early on due to family pressures. A shame as he was a great keyboard player and someone who could have eventually been part of the later, more successful band line up. Primrose Hill WMC is now an ethnic food market and no longer used as a working men's club. But here's a photograph I took of it some years ago when it was still a WMC. This is how it looked at the formation of Be Bop Deluxe.25
- Wow! Bill on vocals... 'Old Haunts' gigIn William's World·10 November 2019I wasn't expecting this at all on the guitar change to his golden 'Scotty Moore' Peerlees Gigmaster SC guitar, on what initially appeared to be no more than a little interlude on the strings we were treated to a rendition of Elvis Presleys 'Mystery Train'. I nearly fell off the edge of my seat ;-) what an amazing night we all enjoyed. Anyone care to provide the Setlist? Finished with an encore of 'Sleepwalk' Gus G1 guitar Bill points to the pickups on his Astroluxe Custom25546

- Single Track of the DayIn World Outside The Window3 March 2020New York (Remastered 2012) Rock solid...Great riffage from Steve Jones and Cook's drumming never seems to get the credit it deserves... A powerful, semi-out of control fully loaded freight train, thundering into town... I still play this album, all these years later and its one of those that always sounds fresh..a little bit of magic captured on this slab of vinyl.25
