Did you read that Public Image Ltd were considered for representing Ireland in this years Eurovision Song Contest?
I really did laugh out loud. I had to check out their song.
And when I heard it, I stopped laughing.
John Lydon is now carer for his wife who is badly affected by dementia; this song is about that. Brought a lump to my throat.

Just read a nice comment, "If you thought you knew John Lydon, you probably didn't!"
Hats off to John, for trying to increase awareness of Alzheimer's.
I read a couple of comments saying they thought this song sounds a bit 'Bowie-ish'.
I think that's a bit of a tenuous connection, but I do kind of get it, it's maybe got a little bit of the vibe of 'Where are we now?', going on....It's a great song, regardless.
Well, John does have an Irish heritage, even if he identifies as a 100% Londoner.
He's been caring for his wife for some time now, so good on him for that.
The way he just does whatever project he does, whenever he likes/chooses, with little interest in what the public may think/how they may judge/their reaction etc, has always appealed to me and shows artistic integrity, even if some scream 'sell-out'.
As for this song, I really like it and John's vocal delivery is just perfect. A heartfelt tribute.
The promo is beautiful and I love the happy cliffhanger final note in the song ….
It's a nice song and it fits his colourful illustration. Nice feeling. Nowt much to do with Ireland.
He was invited to enter something for the Eurovision entry for Britain last time, if I'm remembering correctly.
