- COVID-19 JABSIn World Outside The Window30 March 2021When I found out that people of my ethnicity, as well as health condition, were most likely to get COVID-19 and die, I could not wait for the vaccine. So when it became available to me upon my Indian Reservation, I took it immediately. Moderna, the two shot variety. First shot, felt like a shot, some muscle pain, a headache, then fine. But shot #2 felt like I broke my arm. It felt like I was tackled (American football) from behind and driven into the ground. My upper chest and arm where I got the shot were impacted for about 3 days. Now I am over the numbing fright of an unpleasant death. Seven members of my tribe have died. We could not even have our traditional big funerals. That has been the hardest part. We have vaccinated everyone, as far as I can tell. The Elders, the Infirmed, the First Responders, the front line people, the School Teachers, and all the staff, regardless of age or race. Here in North America that has been par for the course within Indian Country. I think it has to do with our much smaller numbers and our self government. Maybe it is an aftereffect, but I feel optimistic and have ventured out, beyond the grocery store. I feel like my baseball team will do good this year. I even bought a Bill Nelson album that has not been released yet! And hope to get it under 8 weeks! [Do CD's from the UK go though the Suez Canal?] By that time he will be asking us what to name his next one?41

- Axe Victim approachesIn William's World·5 May 2020https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/be-bop-deluxe-axe-victim-3cd-1dvd-limited-edition-deluxe-boxset/ There is the 3CD + DVD set and the 2CD set as before - July 17th. Looks marvellous... I have wanted to buy the boxes all the way through these reissues but I really don't have £50 that I can spare. I haven't got any of the big-box versions. This Axe Victim set particularly has the two long awaited sets (first Peel Session and Decca tapes) that I would really really love to have. But, no, I just can't. I feel a bit bad even buying the 2CD set just now. Perhaps a 'miscellaneous rarities' set could be released afterwards?19492

- Guitar ToneIn William's World·24 November 2019A question about that lovely singing tone Bill gets. In several pix, I see a Line 6 Pod in his studio, but I cannot believe he gets that clean/dirty all at once with that alone. Any insights here?19483

- FingerprintzIn William's World·26 February 2019In March 1979 I saw Fingerprintz support Red Noise at Sheffield City Hall. The concert was recorded and broadcast by BBC Radio 1. In those days you could record from the radio. I did, and have a very good quality recording. I regularly listen to it and especially like the contribution by Fingerprintz. I have a lot of their vinyl product but nothing has ever been released on CD as far as I can see. In light of the good news that Fiat Lux are getting the CD treatment would anyone agree with me that it would be good if Fingerprintz got it as well, as I am sure there will be something I've not got!19567

- wonderlandIn William's World·4 November 2019So, started with Beauty & Beast, then Altar Pieces, then Crimsworth, then Chimera, then These Stars Are Fire, then Dynamos And Tremolos, then Plus Ultra & now spinning the wonderful Plaything, so, as a bit of a new fan (but always having had bbd in my head all these years - now am 55), would be interested to hear other fans thoughts etc.19191
- Instrumental Track of the DayIn World Outside The Window9 July 2023A little scary like Penderecki. Is this where George Martin got the ascension idea for “A Day In The Life?”1
- BowieIn World Outside The Window3 March 2021I remember when I first saw this photo' it got me a-wondering. David's head looks suspiciously Heroes and Iggy's looks suspiciously Raw Power. The richness of tones and the moody rotogravure make me think Anton Corbijn. Is it a clever, possibly pre-Photoshop collage or the real McCoy, those heads? paul.smith, I turn to you.19
- Atmosphere, Nostalgia and GhostsIn World Outside The Window2 June 2024And used all of Paul Beaver’s patches on Wonderwall Music with without telling him.😉😳 and whole songs on Electronic Sound were Bernie Krause demonstrating the Moog for George and Jackie Lomax in Los Angeles. Also uncredited. 😕 Neat picture. 💗😎 Giving Ringo a whack at it. Here Comes the Sun has some of my all time favorite Moog playing on it.😎💗1
- Radio SessionsIn William's World·2 February 2020Hi to all! I can't find a complete list of Bill's radio sessions anywhere - though the Be Bop ones were easily discovered. I don't think the following is complete but I thought someone should make an attempt. Please fill the gaps somebody. I can't find any evidence that Bill has ever recorded sessions for any other radio stations than BBC1 Radio 1 and the old BBC Radio 5 (mid-90s version). Is this true? Are there sessions from the USA? Anyway, here's the start of a list. Dates are mostly dates of recording - but some may be the broadcast dates - not sure really. 6/11/73 John Peel · Axe Victim · Bluesy Ruby · Tomorrow The World 9/5/74 John Peel · Third Floor Heaven · Adventures In A Yorkshire Landscape · Mill Street Junction · Fifteenth Of July (Invisibles) 11/3/75 John Peel · Maid In Heaven · Stage Whispers · Sister Seagull · Lights 10/2/76 John Peel · Blazing Apostles · Crying To The Sky · Peace Of Mind 17/1/77 John Peel · Mill Street Junction · Adventures In A Yorkshire Landscape · Still Shining 30/1/78 John Peel · Super Enigmatix · Panic In The World · Possession · Love In Flames 17/2/79 Friday Rock Show (Tommy Vance?) · Stay Young · Furniture Music · Don’t Touch Me (I’m Electric) · Out Of Touch 10/3/81 David ‘Kid’ Jensen · Konnie Buys A Kodak · The Art Of Vision · Boom Year Ahead · After Life 2/6/81 David ‘Kid’ Jensen · Rooms With Brittle Views · Stay Young · Sleep Cycle · Jazz 3/7/82 David ‘Kid’ Jensen · A Dip In The Swimming Pool Reactor · M1 (Still Under Construction) · Zen 13/1/83 David ‘Kid’ Jensen · Dancing On A Knife’s Edge · Time Tracking · Contemplation · Indiscretion 10/4/91 Mark Radcliffe · Trance And Transcendence · Gloria Mundae · B-Movie Bug Boy And a mostly unconnected thought to finish with... Bill's first appearance on a released record was 50 whole years ago (A to Austr, 1970)... Wow!19654
