Gary Wright was the first artist in the first concert I ever went to. It was 1975 at Hawthorne Park racetrack, the lineup was Gary Wright/Lynard Skynard/Peter Frampton/Yes. Frampton was promoting "Frampton Comes Alive", and Yes had "Relayer" with Patrick Moraz on keyboards. Gary was well-known for using the Moog bass, although both Stevie Wonder and Billy Preston had done it earlier. The connection to Indian religious themes ran deep; Gary's uncle Richard Wright was Paramahansa Yogananda's driver and right hand man when he returned to India from Encinatas, CA in 1952. Yogananda had just completed his book "Autobiography of a Yogi", living in a houseboat on the lake shrine in Encinatas. A life-changing book for me. Gary's music lives on.

Definitely some valid points in this list and they outline how the progressive-left will, and do, label people, with the full intention of trying to discredit and slur individuals who 'dare' speak their own mind, if it even slightly goes against their ideology... The reality is, they demand that everyone must agree with what they say, only speak and express themselves in a way they will tolerate, or feel their wrath if individuals do not comply. These people are ideologues, there is no reasoning with them. Haven't we been here before?, or something like it (1933). They will use whatever methods they like as they try to inflict this control, which includes (amongst others) falsely labelling and vilifying people (as outlined), through to vigorously pursuing the full force of cancel-culture against individuals who speak their own mind, which has led to people loosing their jobs and having their careers destroyed. But that doesn't bother these people in the slightest. Add in to this list that "all white people are racist", "all white people are privileged", if you are a person who would refuse to use pronouns to address some wokey individual, then you are transphobic and should be admonished/cancelled, etc, etc, etc.....This progressive-left agenda seeks to rewrite history, even erase it where they see fit, they seek to change very definitions, including those grounded in science, change street names, school names, tear down statues, or insist they be removed, indoctrinating very young children in the classroom with their ideas re gender identity, which they teach as fact, etc, by covertly introducing such material and teaching methods into the school/curriculum...All this stuff is out there, so go look for yourself...Never mind open, constructive discourse, they are actively trying to stifle and even stop free-speech and expression, in a supposed democratic society. To be fair, a lot of these far-left 'woke' individuals, have in fact been indoctrinated themselves, through school and especially in universities. They are like sheep, with very little grip on common sense, let alone reality...In reality, they are part of a massive groupthink and the danger is some people actually become part of it, without even realising they have.....Some people will only see what they want to, and the truth and reality they want to see..Blinkered and biased vision. As Alec says, lets hope reality and common sense catch up and return, but this thing is getting fairly deep-seated, so I'm not holding my breath. We will see. Doubt I'll make any more comments on such issues, as the old saying goes, better things to do.

AS WELL AS THE GUILD X-500 P[ICTURED FURTHER BACK IN THIS THREAD, I ALSO PLAYED THE FOLLOWING GUITARS... THE ABOVE PHOTO' IS OF FIRST LINE UP BE BOP DELUXE WITH ME PLAYING THE WHITE HOYER LES PAUL THAT WAS LATER OWNED BY STUART ADAMSON AND GENEROUSLY BOUGHT BACK FROM ITS POST-ADAMSON OWNER AND RETURNED TO ME. THE ABOVE PHOTO' IS OF MYSELF PLAYING AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR WHOSE BRAND NAME I'VE TEMORARILY, (I HOPE,) FORGOTTEN. THE HOYER LES PAUL CAN BE SEEN LEANING AGAINST MY CARLSBRO AMP. THIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN AT ROCKFIELD STUDIOS DURING THE RECORDING OF THE 'FUTURAMA' ALBUM. BY THE WAY, VILLA ST GEORGE WAS ALSO SOLD AND DEMOLISHED SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND I BELIEVE AN APARTMENT BLOCK NOW STANDS ON THE SITE. THIS IS A LOW RESOLUTION PHOTO' TAKEN BY A FAN OF ME ON STAGE WITH BE BOP DELUXE PLAYING A FENDER STRATOCASTER. I'D BOUGHT THIS GUITAR IN NEW YORK BUT NEVER REALLY GOT COMFORTABLE WITH IT. NEVERTHELESS IT CAN BE HEARD ON 'ISLANDS OF THE DEAD' AND A FEW OTHER BE BOP DELUXE TRACKS. IT WAS SOLD A LONG TIME AGO. ANOTHER BLURRY FAN PHOTO'. HERE I'M PLAYING A GIBSON 355 WITH A WALNUT FINISH AND A GIBSON VIBROLA. THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE GUITAR WHICH I IMPORTED FROM GIBSON'S FACTORY IN THE USA. BUT, DESPITE IT BEING A GREAT LOOKING GUITAR IT DIDN'T SOUND AS GOOD AS MY OLD 345 AND SO I EVENTUALLY SOLD IT. THE ABOVE 2 PHOTO'S SHOW ME PLAYING A CHERRY SUNBURST YAMAHA SG GUITAR DURING THE LAST DAYS OF BE BOP DELUXE. I'D BOUGHT THE YAMAHA BECAUSE I'D HAD MY GIBSON 345 REFINISHED AND THE GUITAR HAD BECOME MICROPHONIC DUE TO THE PICKUPS BEING CLEANED AND THE HARDER LAQUER FIN ISH DURING THE PROCESS. THE GUITAR NEEDED TO SETTLE DOWN FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS TO REGAIN ITS COMPOSURE. THE YAMAHA SG WAS SOLD IN THE 1990s ALONG WITH SOME OTHER GUITARS AS I WAS COMPLETELY BROKE. WISH I STILL HAD IT. (I DO, HOWEVER, STILL OWN THE GREEN YAMAHA SG 2000s I PLAYED IN THE '80s.) OF COURSE THERE WERE A FEW OTHER GUITARS DURING THE BE BOP YEARS, INCLUDING TWO HAGSTROMS AND A RED GIBSON 345.

Referring back to Bill's Musicvox posts, here's a rare item from their relauch in 2012. First it had to be renamed from Strat-o-spear to Space-inator after complaints from Fender, then another company took Musicvox to court over the apparent copyright infringement of using a 4-2 tuner arrangement on the headstock. The upshot of all this is that most of these guitars were taken out of circulation (possibly destroyed).
