- NEW JOURNAL ENTRY 14 JANUARY 2021.In William's World17 February 2021I read this journal entry soon after it was posted, but I just took a moment to read it again. I always appreciate how Bill gives us that peek behind the curtain. Something many artist shy away from, which is a shame. This has been an incredibly tough year for everyone, but Bill's music is one of the things that helps me struggle through it all. And each time a read about Bill opening a pouch of "Whiskas" it brings a big smile to my face. So keep up the good work, Bill, and always feel free to share your thoughts. I know many of us truly enjoy the intimate view inside your daily life. And, of course, the music is always superb. I've really been enjoying New Vibrato Wonderland. Although it's odd that I've been working from home the past eleven months, but I seem to have less time to listen to music. I guess I'll have to do something about that.21

- Harold BuddIn William's World25 January 2021Some time around 1953 - he must have been 16 - he remembers bunking off school and driving to the coast with some friends listening to AM radio. One track stood out. "Jesus Christ! What is that?" "Stan Getz, man." Getz's "Indian Summer" electrified him. He recalls, in some detail, the complex emotional reaction he had to the track. It wasn't just that it made him feel good. What made the music even more poignant was the sense that despite its beauty, he says, he couldn't feel good all the time. Enthused by Getz, he took up jazz drums, playing in local go-nowhere bands. The following year he fell in love with Lenny Tristano's "Line Up" and remembers thinking, "Nothing is ever going to top this..." ... from The Independent21

I'd assumed BBD and Bill might have been a bit too refined for a Sex Pistol's taste. "For music-lovers of taste and discernment, it was becoming more of a struggle to keep up standards by 1974. There was still some great stuff about; you just had to look a bit harder for it. The first Be-Bop Deluxe album, Axe Victim, and Sparks’ Kimono My House were both big albums for me and Cookie [Paul Cook, drummer] – we’d sit in his bedroom for hours listening to them." "There was stuff around for us to bounce off, like Futurama, the second Be-Bop Deluxe album, a big favourite with both me and Cookie by then. Bill Nelson was a great guitarist who really had the Bowie look down when we saw him live at the Fulham Greyhound." * OK, wide of the mark about the Bowie look, but definitely a favourite.21397

Jerry Lee Lewis dies at 87.In World Outside The Window·28 October 2022Jerry Lee Lewis (1935-2022) was a rock n' roll singer and pianist who rose to fame in the 50s with his various Sun Records hits. His skills on the piano left teens of the day Breathless, and he received controversy for marrying his 13 year old cousin. He was the Last Man Standing of the 'Million Dollar Quartet', a photo shoot consisting of Lewis aswell as Elvis Presly, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. After the incestuous controversy, Lewis quit Rockin' his Life Away and moved over to recording country music for a while, where he found mild success. Eventually Lewis embraced his roots and used his Crazy Arms to bring us some fine rock and roll records from the late 70s until he reached the End Of The Road on October 28th, 2022. Being one of the core members of the SMP and one of the most recognisable, he gained a large following of adolescent youth. Known for his PVP content in the "video game" Minecraft, he earned the "[PIG+++]" "rank" on "Hypixel" for winning a Minecraft tournament four times, more than any other YouTuber in the history of Minecraft. on August 27, 2021, Technoblade announced his cancer diagnosis to the public via a video entitled "where I've been", shocking TechnobladeHeads everywhere. The following June 30th, a video entitled "so long nerds" was uploaded, narrated by Technoblade's father, announcing the death of his son.2158
