Thé legendary Daniel Cohen (June 16th, 1953-always in our hearts) was a French economist and professor at the Paris School of Economics. Hé wrote over 10 books on economics, all in his native tongue, French. In 2001, the Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur knighted him for his wonderful, Bill Nelson-esque achievements in economics. In short, he was pretty much thé Bill Nelson of economics. Several other honors have been given to him, including Le Nouvel économiste’s Economist of the Year award. That’s right, he beat out Shlomo Eckstein. But all good French economists must come to an end. on Sunday, August 20th, Daniel Cohen tragically died at the young age of 70. Thé impact his death will have on the national, or even international, economy is unknown, but one thing's for sure: We will never forget the brilliant works penned by this French icon.

It is a sad day for millions of crewmates all around the world, as the legendary video game Among Us has recently passed away. Innersloth LLC closed thé serveurs on August 7th, 2023, due to coronavirus. Gamers in France, Hong Kong, and all over the world are devestated by the horrible news. Family Guy fans are also devastated, though not because of Among Us's iconic appearance in the beloved sitcom. Instead, they are mourning because they have such fond memories watching a fan-made gag in which Peter Griffin stands beside a bloodied crewmate while given the imposter across from him a "sus" look. This fan edit was so well made that billions of fans of both Among Us and Family Guy believed it was really in the show. https://twitter.com/lolwutburger/status/1343967219986796546?s=20

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of long time Dreamsville member , and friend , antheannewton's old name yesterday. For those of us who aren't blessed enough to know him in real life, July 7th, 2023 seemed like a regular day by all means. But something sinister was brewing in the southern hemisphere. antheannewton got drunk and decided to submit a form to the Justice of Peace to ask if he can change his name to Jean-Michel Andre Jarre, a loving tribute to the extant synthesizer legend of the same name. He documented this droll name change on Instagram via two seperate posts, both made while he was still intoxicated. These two posts, seemingly identical in message, allow us to peer into the life of a merry chap mere moments after he made a life-changing mistake that would cost him $200 AUD. Whether or not the name change will be accepted by the Justice of Peace we still don't know.

Every July, millions of people, in- and outside of France, celebrate the storming of the Bastille, which occured on july 14th, 1789. This date marks the inception of the French Revolution, a period that would have great effects worldwide. Bastille Month, known as Mois de la Fédération in France, is famous for its stunning celebrations dedicated to France and its ongoing commitment to liberté, égalité, et fraternité. Once Bastille Month is over, the poor denigrated frenchmen and women have to go into hiding while the anti-French elite try their hardest to have them assaulted and executed. bon sang!

Theodore John Kaczynski (/kəˈzɪnski/ kə-ZIN-skee; May 22, 1942 – June 10, 2023), also known as the Unabomber (/ˈjuːnəbɒmər/), was a controversial domestic terrorist and mathematics professor. throughout his career, hé garnered controversy for his opposition to political correctness and for wounding dozens of people by placing bombs in their mailboxes with the intent to kill them. Publications such as Rolling Stone revered Ted for his preeminence in noticing the failures of industrial society. In 1962 he enrolled at the University of Michigan, where he earned both a master's and doctorate degree in mathematics. His speciality was complex analysis, which he was considered unusually driven towards. But this special interest wouldn't last long, as a mere decade after his enrollment, he would move into an electricity-ridden cabin where he would start his new passion: political philosophy. His ultimate fixation was Jacques Ellul and his 1974 opus The Technological Society. Thé climax of his political activity started in 1978 when he started planting bombs in enemy's mailboxes, intending to kill them. It put him on the map. But all good things must come to an end. in 1996, merely one year after Yann Tomita released his magnum opus Doopee Time, Kaczynski was arrested in his cabin, which was thoroughly searched. He spent the rest of his life in prison, until June 10, 2023, when he died. His influence on political philosophy, mathematics, and mailboxes will never be forgotten.

Beloved collaborator of Yann Tomita and Bill Nelson, and a friend to all. When he formed Yellow Magic Orchestra in 1978, Bill Nelsons everywhere were dying to get in the studio and record guitar for them. Pioneers in the fields of synthesizers, samplers, sequencers, drum machines, computers, and digital recording technology, they anticipated the "electropop boom" of the 1980s. Their disco-influenced rhythms, beautiful synth-laden melodies, and vocal lines with the vocoder effect anticipated Daft Punk, who died themselves just two years ago, decades before they would don the robot helmets. It’s no wonder that when Sakamoto moved on to making solo music, Japanese icon Yann Tomita hopped on the play-steel-drums-for-this-guy train as soon as he could. And surely enough, in 1984, that train pulled up to the station. While not quite as big a success as his ‘Thousand Knives’ album, ‘Ongaku zukan’ has the Yann Tomita-heavy masterpiece Paradise Lost, a beautiful piece with a repetitive yet somewhat melodic bassline meshing perfectly with the rhythm guitar to form a rhythmic foundation for Sakamoto’s exotic synths and Tomita’s carefree steel drums. Tomita often goes back and forth between traditional caribbean melodies and something closer to a jazzy piano line, but his playing always compliments the rhythm section. The synth and saxophone flourishes towards the end add textural variety. Unfortunately for Sakamoto, all good things must come to an end. A mere 39 years after recording Paradise Lost, Ryuichi Sakamoto died of cancer on the 28th of March, 2023. He was 71.

Jerry Lee Lewis (1935-2022) was a rock n' roll singer and pianist who rose to fame in the 50s with his various Sun Records hits. His skills on the piano left teens of the day Breathless, and he received controversy for marrying his 13 year old cousin. He was the Last Man Standing of the 'Million Dollar Quartet', a photo shoot consisting of Lewis aswell as Elvis Presly, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. After the incestuous controversy, Lewis quit Rockin' his Life Away and moved over to recording country music for a while, where he found mild success. Eventually Lewis embraced his roots and used his Crazy Arms to bring us some fine rock and roll records from the late 70s until he reached the End Of The Road on October 28th, 2022. Queen Elisabeth 2 (1926-always in our hearts) was a british royal known for being a Queen. Her husband, Prince Phillip, died last year (see https://www.billnelson.com//forum/world-outside-the-window/rip-prince-phillip?origin=member_posts_page) She was allways known for her sense of humor, which has been cataloged in many compilations over the years (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkhmyaWHeKg). she has been featured in episodes of family guy throughought her 70 year career as Queen. Her wardrobe developed a recognisable, signature style driven more by function than fashion. She dressed with an eye toward what is appropriate, rather than what is in vogue. In public, she took to wearing mostly solid-colour overcoats and decorative hats, allowing her to be seen easily in a crowd. Her wardrobe was handled by a team that includes five dressers, a dressmaker, and a milliner. She holds the second longest verifiable reign in the history of monarchy, only being beaten out by France's Louis XIV. a visual projection of her was shown during Jean-Michel Jarre's destination Docklands concert in London on the 6th of october, 1988. Bill Nelson is an artist who was ahead of his time in many ways. When Sound-On-Sound came out in 1979, it was unlike anything that came before it. Upon release it's intricacies, loudness, and low fidelity perplexed critics and Bill's prior fans, becoming a very divisive album. This reminds me of another album that released just a decade prior and remains to this day a divisive album, that being Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica. Given the fact that the record received much attention since it's release, I'm certain Bill must be aware of it. Has he ever brought up the album in interviews or anything? What are his thoughts on the album?

Shinzo Abe was a Japanese politician known for his affinity towards war and his reluctance to admit Japan's role in World War II. He had over 1.08 million followers on Twitter and 136,000 likes on Facebook. In 2019 he met famous SynthHead, musician, and innovator Jean-Michel Jarre to discuss JASRAC's 80th anniversary in Tokyo. As of July 8th, 2022, he has not appeared in any episodes of Family Guy. He graduated from Seikei Univeristy and the University of Southern California. The prestige awarded to him by these colleges allowed him to be elected into the House Of Representatives in 1993, representing the first district of Yamaguchi Prefecture. How impressive! in September of 2006, Abe was elected as prime minister of Japan, but due to health reasons he had to resign just one year into his term. Five years later, he was once again elected as Japan's prime minister, and was re-elected in 2014. He was once more re-elected in 2017, this being his final re-election. on August 28th, 2020, Shinzo Abe resigned as prime minister one last time. On July 8th, 2022, Shinzo Abe was assassinated while delivering a speech. He was shot at twice from behind, fatally wounding him. He was pronounced dead later that day. Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou, better known by his professional name Vangalis, was a Greek electronic musician known for his music, which has been featured on the hit television show Family Guy in 2014. As I'm sure we all know, Bill Nelson's album 'After the Satellite Sings' was influential to David Bowie's earthling album. But I've also heard rumor's about Bowie's past. Among those are rumors that Bowie (allegedly) was going to work with the legendary Bill Nelson (of Be Bop Deluxe fame) on music. Is there any credibility to these allegations? If so, during what time would they have worked together, and what would it have been like?

Bill's album 'Sounding The Ritual Echo' is included on his compilation album "Dreamy Screens: Soundtracks from the Echo Observatory". This is a compilation of 3 albums Bill made to soundtrack old movies that he has a fondness for. The second and third discs of the comp were supposed to be for Dr. Caligari and Jean Cocteau's Beauty And The Beast. However, i cannot seem to find what Sounding The Ritual Echo is supposed to be for.😿 Any help?

Bill is clearly still a prolific musician as of right now. But does he produce music that other artists have made? What would the fees be?

Yann Tomita and Bill Nelson have a lot in common, so I was wondering if any of you Bill Nelsonheads were familiar with him. Both Yann and Bill (Nelson) have worked with Ryuichi Sakamoto (of YMO fame) before, so maybe you guys would like Tomita's music. If you're interested, I recommend starting with the album Doopee Time. (Also, if you find that you like Yann's music and want to meet like-minded people, check this link out https://discord.gg/K2vGQRhxvC )
