Not been listening too much recently - sooo much music, sooo little time, (but anyway, check out Squid's Bright Green Field & Dry Cleaning's New Long Leg), but tonight was deffo a Bill night which went Altar Pieces - Stand By Light Coming - The Love That Whirls - The Unrealist - Luxury Lodge - My Private Cosmos VI ... still can't seem to get an original copy of Neptune's Galaxy (one of my favourites). What's everyone else out there excited about?

Having recently returned from a trip to Castlerigg with my tent & all 94 tracks on shuffle, eventually, certain pieces started to stand out - The Dusk Before The Dawn, Your Secret Sign, When The Wind Blows All Away, Seven Keys To The City, The Light In The Mirror (The Bone Beneath The Skin), A Dip In The Sparkle Jar, The Super Sensualist, Until Tomorrow & the beautiful & subtle guitar work on The Long Lost Summer that leaves you longing for more ... tonight, however, whilst listening to part VI on a proper hifi, i'm appreciating this monumental album anew, as it was no doubt intended to be heard, having been sequenced with care! Gorgeous!

Just listening to Dog Man Star & noticed that the same photo appears in the booklet as is on the back cover of Caliban & The Chrome Harmonium?

After a day of Thelonius Monk, P J Harvey, Jane Siberry, Steven Stucky & Hans Werner Henze, I could hardly wait for disc one of Schubert's final string quartets to finish ... because ... i desperately wanted to hear 'The Last Lamplighter' again! I LOVE this album & while obsessively filing & documenting everything, found myself creating a new 'Favourite Bill' folder, into which no fewer than nine tracks from said album were placed, prompting me to think ... hang on ... what about a 'very favourite Bill' folder? - which was, of course, then immediately created & populated with 'Strictly For The Birds' & will be reserved for only my absolutely faves e.g. 'Flux Of Desire' or 'Pretty Little Bubble Of Dreams' from 'Luxury Lodge' - all of which is leading to my latest fan challenge - if push came to shove - which would be your absolute favourite tracks (max 3) off each album?

Listening to this track now - love The Last Lamplighter - one of my faves - anyway - finally coming out of dark covid tunnel & Strictly For The Birds has just started playing ... fantastic! It's my 57th birthday today & my sister bought me a wonderful hoody with 'I'm Gonna Make It Through This Year If It Kills Me' on it! What are people's comments on New Vibrato Wonderland?

A couple of days ago, my wife tentatively asked whether we could have a bit less Bill! She even unleashed the dreaded 'Overbill' word! Since then, covid has been so dreadful, i've not been able to listen to anything at all. Today, however, i've started on the complete William Schuman symphonies & i'm totally hooked - going to rotate nos 3,4,5 & 9 tomorrow & at some point sneak in Old Haunts, which i've not heard yet.

Oh dear - covid's finally arrived! Feel dreadful, but never mind, i've got plenty of music to help me through - still feel like i've only scratched the surface though - spent ALL yesterday listening to Trial By Intimacy in it's entirety several times - amazing stuff & have been revisiting The Years & Plaything. Today, though, i'm concentrating on New Vibrato Wonderland & getting to know this album quite well now. I'm noticing a kind of fuzz/distortion/scratched record sort of effect on most of it & wondering if that's just a feature of my copy? I'm loving 'Hide & Seek', 'I Oil The Ticking Of Antique Clocks' , 'Mercuria Magnetica', 'Bless Me, Bless You' & 'In The Middle Of A Dream ... and ... this world is certainly Crazy Right Now - can't seem to relax until i know Trump has finally gone - currently obsessively glued to CNN to follow Georgia run-offs!

Just wondering about the missing fans' thoughts section for the last nine albums & whether or not this will be added in at some point? It seems odd that there are no comments on this significant body of work - The Jewel is gorgeous & The Unrealist is absolutely fantastic!

Having a great night in ... pint of freshly delivered 5.3% Shining Clough with large Black Bush chaser, following up fab Strictly final with a bit of old Top Gear series 11 & now the first spin of early xmas present that is New Vibrato Wonderland ... also, while watching Bill Bailey dancing, thought of great new band name/Zappa instrumental title ... 'Winkleman's Fringe'! Currently most played albums The Unrealist, The Jewel, Chance Encounters & Plectrajet Bring on the new year - let's hope we're out of this mess & festivals can go ahead - have big plans for EOTR 2021!

Hi, while driving through forest of Galloway recently, Rising Sap came up on shuffle, immediately preceded by a similar sounding track of Frisell's Intercontinentals - interesting coincidence. Currently being knocked out by Six String Super Apparatus, The Unrealist & The Jewel, but Chance Encounters (both discs of which, i feel need to be taken as a single piece, as does Simplex & Beauty & The Beast) is always on in recent days. Just wondering if anyone out there has an original copy of Luxury Lodge or Neptune's Galaxy they would be willing to sell? P.s. how do i get my profile pic the right way up? Cheers Steve

Can't get enough of this one at mo - along with The Years - also love Neptune's, but can't seem to find an original copy anywhere! Was wondering if you could all put together your all time favourite Bill instrumental playlists?

I've been playing Rosewood II, Quiet Bells & Neptune's Galaxy in rotation for days (with the occasional Simplex or Altar Pieces interlude) ... these albums are just sooooo gorgeous! Would be interested to hear other fans' current faves - have just started on Luxury Wonder Moments & am pencilling in the The Jewel tomorrow (along with a bit of an Anders Hillborg retrospective & Mussourgsky's Khovashchina).

After a day of Prokofiev's Steel Step & Prodigal Son, interspersed with several leisurely dips into The Unrealist alternating Hip Pocket Jukebox, have uncovered an absolute gem in Chimes & Rings! Cannot stop playing it (alternating Six String Super Apparatus) - it's 4:15 - one more play ...
