Staying with raindrops, a Magpie feather/leaf I took a photo of yesterday. It's actually evening dew.

Keeping the raindrops thread going (albeit much less), a Magpie feather I shot yesterday.

I really like this photo...Shooting from inside, with the raindrops on the glass (I'm guessing?), in B&W, really adds to the atmosphere of this shot. I think it's fab, and possibly my favourite one on this thread so far. I think would look great as a large print. 😎👍

I just happened to randomly re-read the above thread description: Kings of Cool is not an "exclusionist" thread, that's just a silly comment...Even if used/meant in jest in this comment, the word exclusionist does carry a certain undertone...So, it just rubbed me up the wrong way...trivial really.

That lot looks really great and deffo something I'd like in my collection and Quit Dreaming is a big fave. I might just have a try at that. However, having just recently made a not insignificant purchase, I might not be in the best books splashing out again, so to speak.....Thanks for the heads up! 😎👍

That's really cool mate, thanks for sharing...and that's totally it and a great way of putting it, activating a sense of hope in possibilities beyond the constraints of convention/the norm. I'm probably a bit older then you, I was 16 in 1976 and those early days of all that happening, and happening so quickly, it was an amazing time and thing to be part of and I still have so many wonderful memories of all of that. Me and all my mates were playing in punk bands. A network soon spread. Local towns and cities had their own punk bands and following and the whole thing grew very quickly. No one really had any money, but one things that used to happen a lot, was bands from neighbouring districts/towns/cities would get together, find venues to get gigs and all chip in to hire a PA, hire the venue/room (or take a cut of the door takings = not a great idea, lol) etc., small independent record labels/studios springing up, and bands could get singles out. It really was electric. You could do it, and we did! I was very sorry to hear Soo had died, it hit me a little bit... I think I'm going to do a new t-shirt design of her, and get some made up, to commemorate her and that very spirit you mention, Alec.
