Sorry for teh late post ..away seeing Bill Callahan tonight ..pretty wonderful. However as i started this thread i will make one more comment due to some of the posts that have appeared . originally i traded a couple of posts with orphan and i realised it was going off track and the posts would be deleted ..since then i notice orphan has reposted a deleted post ..which wasn't funny the first time he posted it ..but there you go..I make no apology for the original post ..bill and his music are the antithesis of this evil govt. if ever we needed that hope for a better world.. which bill's music represents to me ..it is now. The daily mail induced "woke" comments and insulting and misrepresenting people who care for each other needs a reply .. we are into our 13th year of a conservative govt ( yes so its all labours fault !!)..the last 5 being particularly right wing and evil ..a criminal corrupt lying heartless evil govt causing death and misery to tens of thousands of uk citizens ..as well as destroying our country .. they need called out at every turn ..and to be honest the views of anyone who voted for them especially in 2019 and voted for brexit are worthless .luckily here in scotland the right wing media holds less power ..and we will hopefully be able to escape , but i genuinely feel for every decent human being who lives in england.. i wont reply to any other comments on this thread (and feel free to delete it mods..but i wanted to make my position clear)..I will instead look forward to bill being persuaded to lift all our spirits by organising some type of event next year ..oh and release another good few new albums. To be fair bill the right wing media have picked every uk prime minister for decades .. and the English working classes are brought up to doff their caps to their so called “superiors”

I think when the media have less influence you get a more balanced point of view .. but when the speaker of the house describes tho funeral as the most important event in the world ever then no wonder folk get wearied 😄

Every so often we are reminded Scotland is a very different country from England .. where the influence of the evil right wing media is so much less

and opinions are fine...teh cD was released 9 years ago ..but i guess its "sexist" in the way that lots of 50's type sci fi was....but appropriate to capture the sci fi 50's vibe...But your opinion is fair enough...

too young and not a student so missed Sat Jan 24 1976 University of Strathclyde in Glasgow which i wanted to attend...so had to wait until 26th September 1976 Glasgow Apollo to finally see them..a short run of warm gigs i think before the full tour in 1977 when i saw them again on 4 February 1977. Big memory is Bill's guitar getting a standing ovation when it was placed on a stand in front of the Apollo's famous red velvet curtains before the gig started. !! Saw Be bop one more time 7 February 1978.. (and saw the be bop and beyond years later..)
