I recently got the 2 cd version of Drastic Plastic a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. When I first played both discs, the remix disc of the album didn't seem much different. It was only when I put on my headphones that I was able to discover the nuances and differences from the original recording. It turns out that the remix disc is fun and interesting and gives you a glimpse of what might have been. I could put either disc into my player and be happy with what I'm hearing. The bonus tracks are also a treat and like the icing on the cake with different mixes and songs from The Best of And The Rest Of Be Bop Deluxe The packaging is a 4 section fold out design and contains a mini poster of tour dates, and also contains a booklet with comprehensive notes from Bill about the making of the album. All in all, this is a first class offering from Bill from the music to the packaging. If the 2 disc version is this good, I can only imagine what the box set holds. No matter which set you choose, it is top quality and worth every penny. Miss this one at your own peril and disappointment.

I recently pre-ordered Dazzlebox, and discovered that they had released a 2 cd version of Drastic Plastic. I was beyond thrilled because I didn't want to get the whole box set, and past searches turned up price gouging on the original disc. Checking the track list I was also pleased to find that they included Japan which was on the original US vinyl release but was left off of the cd release. I can't wait to get both sets so I can proceed to BeBop around the Dazzlebox😎

I recently heard an hour long program on the music of Harold Budd and was totally enchanted. What albums of his do you recommend to get me started? Thank you!

I've been gone for quite a while. I haven't posted anything or purchased any of Bill's music in a while. My last two purchases we're Six String Apparatus and Plectrajet. I was forced to retire in 2017 due to medical issues and a fixed income limits what I can do at this point in time. I'm beginning to see daylight once again and look forward to interacting with everyone again and hopefully start catching up on Bill's music. Music is my therapy
