Two new albums out this week: Go Sanction Yourself by Paul Morricone, who has been likened to a cross between Scott Walker and Massive Attack: Here Come The Lights by Stephen EvEns, who's quirky pop songs are in turn playful and morose, but never dull: Both are on Bandcamp.

I saw this band supporting Speedy Ortiz a week ago. I've now bought their entire back catalogue. They have a sort of XTC crossed with Block Party vibe and are driven by frontman Jake Popyura, who announced at the gig that he has been diagnosed with MND, so make the most of them while he's still able to be creative.

He's 78 and she's 68. Damn, they're both wearing well!

Discounting the re-release of the ABM tracks, off the top of my head, possibly Stupid Serious, but I'd have to wade through them all to be sure. Anyway, it's 15 CDs back to The Jewel if you count the 6 disc set of My Private Cosmos.
