It surprised me that, Crying to the sky was not included on any of the gigs recorded for, Live in the Air age. I'm sure I saw / heard it played at a few gigs

I remember when you first played in Aberdeen. January 1976, Myself and a few friends, met you at the Imperial hotel when you arrived in the Range Rover. You signed some autographs, allowed us to have some pictures taken with you, and you remarked, you were "So surprised anyone this far north, had heard of the band". At the gig that night, (McRobert hall), I was at the front of the stage, on a friends shoulders, and during your extended solo at the end of No trains to heaven, you broke into the melody of, Scotland the brave, and knelt down at the stage front, holding your guitar in my direction, allowing me to stroke the strings, as the chord you were holding soared into feedback. As you can imagine, I did not sleep that night, and felt I was both blessed, and destined to pursue my naive noodling on my Antoria Les Paul copy and be a "Proper" guitar player. I felt I had been blessed, and did pursue a guitar playing career for the past 46 years, until COVID hit, last year, I have not gigged since March 2020. Longest break, ever. Great memories of my teenage years Thanks again, for the continued Inspiration, and Artisan songwriting.

Yes, I really understand the Impracticalities of recording with big amps at home. the small 1 X 12 Boogies do sound great, but very directional, unless used with a larger extension cab. your Carlsbro’s & the SAE Cabs were a phenomenal sound, at all gigs I witnessed. 😲 Before the SAE cabs, you did have Carlsbro cabs, did you blow those up eventually? re your Carlsbro Signature amp, I spoke with the tech at Carlsbro just before they closed down, as to whether it would be released to the public, as I fancied ordering one. He couldn’t confirm, but in retrospect, He probably had an Idea the company was closing soon. pity, I’m sure it would have been a great,” Live” set up. Bill, I remember you, flirted briefly with, Boogie, Burman, & a, Marshall Club country combo’s. Any particular reason, you got rid, or, didn’t bond with them? I thought they sounded great, at the time.

As I expected Bill, Some we click with & some we dont, Eh? I too have had some lovely guitars which I've sold for that same reason. Plenty to choose from now though,... I shudder to think of the room they must take up in storage around the house.

A question about 2 guitars from your past, Bill, and why you didn’t keep them? The ES355 in Walnut, you bought around the mid seventies, ( I saw you use it, a few times). And the Gibson ES345 in Cherry, which appears in some of your private pictures from home.( Never saw you play it, ever). I realise, we sometimes don’t bond, with an Instrument, so was that the reason you moved them on?

I placed a, substantial order, (Over £100), on the 21st April & Still Not had it Delivered yet. It was sent, but lost in the post, apparently. Dizzy Jam say they will do a reprint for me, but, still nothing.🤨 Not Happy. Anyone else have a problem with their delivery?
