I had not heard of Steve Gibbons before Rollin' On came out. My usual routine on Saturdays was a few pints with mates in Mortimer's Cavern in Nottingham - followed by a trip to nearby Selectadisc - before said shop was moved to make room for the new (or new in '76) Theatre Royal.I had listened to and discounted Blue Oyster Cult when I noticed the Gibbons and asked to listen. The guy behind the counter knew me (just as a regular) and stated "You'll buy this". And I did. Fantastic.
(After the shop moved) those guys in Selectadisc used to get us really rare punk singles, through their contacts, usually by relatively small 'local' bands. The DIY ones, on super-small record labels, you know, possibly 50 to 100 pressed, usually with really cool sleeves. The singles bar was downstairs. Really great blokes they were, forgot their names, but one of them used to smoke Consulate menthol cigs..strange thing, memory.

Great stuff...I'm a fan, and a good price for this set!
Down In The Bunker is a favourite of mine and great artwork too, Steve Gibbons looks super-cool on front cover of this....and just to prove the point
