Was Bill at a Gig Last Week?

I wasn't checking closely all night, so I can't say definitely. But for sure a great deal of the time it was what you'd expect from him - picking with the thumb, fingers controlling volume and whammy bar at the same time.

When talking to friends, I had been using the word "dreary" to describe the songs for which Johnny Depp joined him. I said "competetent" up above. And after I wrote that, I saw a review of one of the London shows, in which Depp's efforts are described as "grey", and "passable".

They have an album coming out next month. I'll buy it, out of duty rather than hope.
