Let's bring this one to the brave new world
UFO - Last Orders 50th Anniversary tour
Supposedly Phil Mogg is calling it quits. So this may your last chance to see UFO live. We have tix for the June show in The Netherlands. (We have seen them at least a dozen or more times since the early 70's. As soon as I mentioned that it might be our last chance, Mrs merikan1 had me buy tickets on the spot. My kind of woman!)
Some clips from the current tour. Apart from the irritating annoying sing-along, they still sound pretty damn good.

Clearwater FL,
Boca Raton FL,
Orlando FL,
St Augustine FL,
Atlanta GA,
Fort Worth TX,
Austin TX,
Denver CO,
San Diego CA,
San Francisco CA,

Highland Park IL,
Milwaukee WI,
Cleveland OH,
Huber Heights OH,

This does mean that we are now unlikely to visit some States and cities which we had previously planned. In particular, it sadly seems that we are now unlikely to play :
Memphis,
New Orleans,
Cary,
Portsmouth,
Glen Falls,
Louisville,
Vienna
Anyone with Royal Package tickets for those shows should please get in touch with iona@dgmhq.com for a refund. Alternatively, if you do wish to travel further afield to one of the other shows, we have made arrangements for those needing to switch.

KING CRIMSON'S 2020 SUMMER TOUR OF USA & CANADA King Crimson have now announced their tour schedule for this year (with one possible festival still outstanding). All the dates, except festivals, will be double bills with the Zappa Band. “The Summer tour will be a throwback one for us in a few ways; great to be going back to outdoor venues, some of them the ‘sheds’ we played in the 1980’s. And we’ll be travelling by tour bus, old school! As for what pieces we’ll play, that hasn’t been decided yet, but will likely be a wide selection from the 50 years of Crimson repertoire. With 7 players on stage we can cover it all.” – Tony Levin June 4 - Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall June 5 - St. Augustine, FL - St Augustine Amphitheatre June 6 - Miami, FL - Mizner Park Amphitheatre June 8 - Orlando, FL - Dr. Phillips Walt Disney June 9 - New Orleans, LA - Saenger Theatre June 10 - Memphis, TN - Graceland Soundstage June 12 - Cary, NC - Koka Booth Amphitheatre June 13 - Portsmouth, VA - Union Bank Pavilion June 14 - Philadelphia, PA - The Mann Center June 16 - Glens Falls, NY - Cool Insuring Arena June 18 - Boston, MA - Rockland Trust Pavilion June 19 - New York, NY - Forest Hills Stadium June 20 - New Haven, CT - Westville Music Bowl June 22 - New Brunswick, NJ - State Theatre June 24 - Huber Heights, OH - Rose Music Center @ The Heights June 25 - Louisville, KY - Palace Theatre June 26 - Detroit, MI - Meadowbrook Amp June 28 - Baltimore, MD - MECU Pavillion June 30 - Vienna, VA - Wolf Trap July 1 - Lewiston, NY - Artpark July 5 - Chicago, IL - Ravinia July 7 - Montreal, QC - Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier - Palace des Arts July 9 - Quebec City, QC - Festival d'ete July 11 - Ottawa, ON - Bluesfest July 12 - Rama, ON - Casino Rama
Apparently, Blue Oyster Cult is playing tonight in Kansas City.
I’m not actually going, but I was just looking at this photo & thinking, “None of these guys could have been around in the mid-1970s when they were touring together with Be Bop Deluxe.
Or am I somehow mistaken?

A couple of mini-posters in the gents room, while I was at the Lyle Lovett show last week. We’re going to both of these shows.
