John Prine, legendary songwriter from Chicago & Nashville, has passed away from complications of Coronavirus.
A true musical original. They don't make folk-singers like him anymore.
RIP John, your music lives on in history and in all of us.

He was one of those who seemed to have been born with an old soul. Have can a 24 year old write Sam Stone or Hello in There? I remember him being labelled a "New Dylan" along with Bruce Springsteen and Steve Forbert. I think that label has the potential to do more harm than good, it's all marketing nonsense anyway. We don't need a new Dylan, the one we have is doing just fine.
