Peter Bogdanovich
Peter Bogdanovich, ComSE, (30 July, 1939 – 6 January, 2022) was a Serbian-American director, writer, actor, producer, critic, and film historian.
My parents took me to The Last Picture Show when it came out. Guess I was either a five-year-old or a six-year-old. I loved it. They didn't. Never forgotten that. I've felt some vague connection to him since age five or six.

Well, crap. Another gifted director gone. I believe he’d been dealt a bad hand by Hollywood. No one can dispute the quality of his early films.
Some of “Paper Moon” was shot in St. Joseph, Missouri, just to the north of where I live in Kansas City. A graphic designer buddy of mine had his studio just down those steps to the right of the bank entry, seen in the movie.
