Selling on Ebay...1/500 signatures not authentic, gold coloured CD...looks the part but is it legal Bill? 🤔

I see the seller has about 150 different albums like this, by everyone from BB King to the Foo Fighters. The seller makes it quite clear that nothing is genuine - not the disc, not the signatures, and that the album sleeve is just a print.

What will be illegal is the reproduction of the album sleeve, for which someone will hold the copyright. (The Axe Victim boxset doesn't say who.) Given that the seller has ripped off album covers by image-protecting bands such as KISS and the Beatles, I expect that they will be receiving some legal attention in the very near future :)

I think that the print of Bill's signature is based on a genuine autograph, but I don't think that the others are. I think that they have simply been made up.

Here's a picture of the band's signatures. I know they are genuine because this record belonged to a friend of mine (now, sadly, dead) who came from a place called North Ferriby, near Hull, where he used to see an up-and-coming band at a local pub known informally as "The Duke".

You'll see that, other than Bill's, the genuine signatures are simpler and shorter. Did Nick Dew ever sign anything with the full "Nicholas Chatterton..." nonsense? :)
