Dylan said if he started a label the first person he'd sign would be Leon Redbone. Like Bob Dylan, Leon Redbone had an ease with the kind of Pop Music that pre-dates both Rock & Roll and Be-Bop. I put Leon Redbone for that reason in a category that also includes Harry Nilsson, Captain Beefheart, Randy Newman and even Madness.
