The Liverpool gig was at The Polytechnic, I have a couple of blown up photos of the night, not brilliant but a photos all the same. Bill playing the guitar and the marimba? in front of a huge bank of tv screens. In the audience was a few of the new Liverpool music scene Ian McCullough, from the Bunnymen, Holly Johnson, from Frankie goes to Hollywood and Andy McClusky from OMD Was a hell of a gig

Strider - Searching The Clouds I bought this on release, 1974. I would have been 13 or 14....Not a widely known band, but I always liked this album. Good old school hard-rock and as a young lad, I loved the guitar solo at the end of this track.

I am Lord Shen. Some of you may know me from Kung Fu Panda 2 where I was voiced by Gary Oldman (not to be confused with Gary Numan, the polymoog maestro) But what you, my friends and Bill Nélson heads, may not know is that today is National Flamingo Day on this day of June 23rd. It all started when a man by thé name of Don Featherstone invented the plastic lawn flamingo of which became a mainstay of many gréât American homes in the 20th century. It put him on the map. It was declared a national holiday by the mayor of Leominster, Massachusetts Dean Mozzarella in 2007 where it was invented, nearly eleven years after English band Cardiacs’ made their magnum opus Sing to God. Flamingoes are brilliant birds that can change color when they eat seafood like Shrimp, and are very social creatures, and I havé many of flamingo friends including my synthehead friend Dys and my yellow flamingo friend Philis Menko. NateyBeak is also another good flamingo friend, of whom they appeared in Family Guy in 2015.

New Electric Angels Single

Bob K and I have released a new single off a forthcoming album on Reverbnation and Soundcloud (take your pick below). Waking Hours is a re-recorded version of the very first song we collaborated on back in 2009. Bob had posted it in this forum and I fell in love with it. I wrote to him asking if he would mind if I took a stab at a remix and he very graciously consented. And thus was born the the most satisfying creative collaboration of my life. I think we finally do this wonderful song justice. We hope you like it.
