- PhotosIn World Outside The Window23 July 2024More or less regarded as a weed/nuisance, but really quite pretty. Back garden earlier this evening. We like to leave a nice bit of natural vegetation for the critters, creatures and birds. Rather concerning is that insect numbers seem way down this year. In fact for the last couple of years or so. We've hardly seen any butterflies, moths, bees, crane flies etc, etc....and there is a small stream running at the bottom of the garden. I don't know if this is a local/regional issue, or more widespread. My guess is that it probably reflects a wider, general trend.....I might do a bit of research on this.32

- Rip Johnny HardwickIn World Outside The Window·10 August 2023It was a sad morning. On 10 August, 2023, we lost beloved "'King of the Hill'" voice actor, Johnny Hardwick, âge 64. There is an unknown cause of death. No foul play may be suspected. The voice actor was belovedly known for playing Hank Hill’s conspiracy theory-obssessed besst friend Dale Gribbons. He had also a big foray into many different careers across the show’s timeline, including, you guessed it, a Propane Salesman (if only he was also a Polymoog synthesist!) First enjoying à foray into 90s stand-up comedy, he lent his voice to the character for more than 240 episodes (Wow!) As of 2023, Dale has not made any crossover appearances into Family Guy. However, hé was parodied by them in this video shown below. YouTubeFamily Guy - King of the Hill opening ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtAL6fKmCdM Later in life, during the trying times of COVID-19 (Coronaviradae), he made a living off of YouTube doing covers of songs donning his signature hat and glasses. Wow! Now that’s dedication! He will surely be missed in Heaven.32105
- My Private Cosmos - Pre-order NOW!!!In William's World23 October 2021Good choice! From the samples I've listened to, these are the current superlative realizations of years of research, discovery and development by Bill - unmatched, as far as I'm aware of. - 'MY PRIVATE COSMOS' :THE STORY SO FAR...In William's World30 July 2021Apologies if I have missed a communication on this but is this (5? CD set) a mix of vocal and instrumental pieces? btw a 5 cd box would be my preference for what it's worth as long as the economics of the project does not become an issue for you. Whatever you finally decide will be the right decision.32

- My Private Cosmos - Pre-order NOW!!!In William's World22 October 2021Not a problem...Bill Connor-Clark brought this to attention on the opening page and I just thought it worth mentioning also...Like I say, there are plenty of unscrupulous/unethical people out there, who will do almost anything to make a quick buck....All I can say to whoever is reading this thread is, just buy from Burning Shed, all keep it all legit....I will have missed out on the signed card version, but that's no big deal, would be nice ofc, but getting this amazing set is all that matters...Don't put money into the pockets of profiteers. Anyway, this is a happy, upbeat thread, announcing/celebrating a great new release from Bill...So I hope it will remain so and not get off track/hijacked by the shady dealings of others...Let's not give them the time of day. Sometimes you wish you hadn't said anything about something at all, causing things to go off course a little, but it did seem worth mentioning.32

- Favourite Be Bop song. Nice addition to the wall.In William's World13 August 2021Hi Perfect Monster. I'm not suggesting Bill plays his Be Bop music or mutters a word of his lyrics, (not sure where you got that from) however, that doesn't detract from my feelings that his lyrics are wonderful and to be frank, are probably part of the sound tracks of many people's lives. I for one, have special places where the lines of Bill's songs come to visit me and remind me of the past. Quite often these are the emotions of youthful love, but they are there non the less. Only today I was walking through an area that will always have memories of an ex girlfriend linked to Futurama and that will be there for all of my life. This "Nice addition to the Wall" thread was wonderful and it just made me think how nice it would be to have a book of Bill's lyrics to browse through. As I said, I'm not suggesting that Bill reads them out, in the same way I don't expect him to come to my house and play a solo off a Modern Music, but his lyrics are art and would have special meaning, even today. And remember, writing lyrics to fit the sensual tone and timing of a song limits the options, but Bill has never failed to deliver. If Dylan can get a Nobel Prise for his lyrics being poetry, then in my mind, Bill should get at least the same. Bill's lyrics are breathtaking and worthy of a wider audience.32

- Suspicious by Simon JacobsIn The World And His Wife·28 February 2022This is a song that was made by a friend of mine. I'm posting it here because the final track was a remix by me. I highly recommend to go check it out. Unfortunately, don't be surprised if it gets removed, because Simon has been attacked by people who have been claiming the rights to his music (even though they don't have the rights). And Spotify has taken down the album that this track comes from, Changed. I hope the same doesn't happen to this single 😕 Here it is on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/album/2KeH1s8WUW5oH0GBQmNd40?si=kDww4nBwRvKXCd-e2BQSkg3246
