Here's something else I found amongst my Mother's keepsakes. It's a personalised Christmas card containing a photograph of myself with a written message from my Mum. My parents must have had a few of these cards printed up to send to their friends one Christmas, probably in the same year that the photograph was taken...I guess I'd be four or five years old.

Been playing quite a bit of Stones more recent stuff lately, and really enjoyed it too...Wonder if the band will call it a day now? Next year will be their 60th anniversary as a band.

It's unreal. Trumpism is little more than an insane Cult with brain washed disciples. Those disciples should watch out, he'll be getting them to drink the Kool Aid next...

Well I sometimes consider that life is the preparatory school for eternity. How many long hours at school before you graduate and get to have a life? How many times did you say that while growing-UP. Eternity, life or slavery to the deity you've either focused on (or not) pleased (or not) - who know for sure - after all, it's just a "reporter" words - Wicked wink - LOL. Harold is right that life is not preparatory, but he's wrong also. Saw pictures of a Tibetan monk doing the "rainbow" ??passage/body??. As as he proceeded he began to shrink just like a grape to a raisin (young to old age). And when he finally passed, someone took a picture of his ??spirit/energy?? shooting off to "who knows" where - It was very impressive. Saw a NEWS (north,east,west, south - Sure!) program, riots on seats of power have taken place before in the US, but not at the US Capitol since the British storming. I recalled my dad saying something about how if I thought life as a teenager was hell (during the Vietnam War), wait til you experience it here. Along with the "ever burdening" thought from "Revelations?? - Woooooh, if it takes place in winter - I guess I should have been scarred - you know I was. But having spent 20 some odd years watching this develop (One of the things I heard so long ago was - we don't believe in the laws of the US - just those who have been empowered by us) and no one would listen or help - it's either going to happen or not. Right? May not be much (as Jethro Tull stated in a song), standing up to Dad, when he can't defend himself or be questioned, but I said No - I won't let this happen (even though most of the stages of my life have been ruined [in my opinion]) by the US's policies, laws and religious bents. After the "horror" realization of COVID and the insurrection on the US capitol - I had to let my "personal" feelings about my life change (interesting this was on the day of epiphany - Okay it's been going on for along time, this was one of those landmark moments). Saw and heard about some miraculous or magical things (Hellblazer) that took place in DC on Jan 6 - glad they took place. James Taylor said in a song - The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time. Since Jan 6 - I've been psychofiled attacked to the point of a near heart attack, threatened in a store and psychofiled burned, and told I'm glad I'm not you after I die by a medical receptionist, when I was calling to inquire about getting the COVID vaccine. As Thatcher said "the veneer of society is very thin". I recall reading, Oh about 30 years ago, in Rolling Stone, about all these "radical" right groups, how they were dangerous, but splintered - no one could bring them to a cohesive whole - and if that someone ever arose, what that could mean to the US as a democracy. When the first lady said "Who gives a F((k about Christmas, I guess I realized who was in office - and his chilling words on Jan 6 before the storming - This is just the beginning of our journey together. Maybe, some of you Brits who grew up after World War II should let people know just what damage can be done to the infrastructure of a country and the effects on the psyche of a child (Pink Floyd's "The Wall" comes to my mind). So, I for one, am enjoying the passage of time, "ever saying" No to current events, preparing to depart at any moment - What a video game - And I don't play them! LOL Who knows, England may be the last great hope for democracy in the world - Time (a long or short time?) will tell - God's/Whatever's speed. And now for some yoga - I love that yoga!!! :)
