- Reflections of a better timeIn William's World20 July 2025Was this Toronto show Ken mentioned above, actually 1984? Other mentions of this show I found online also say 1984, but out of the 7 songs I found from the setlist there were 3 that were not released until 1986 on the "Getting the Holy Ghost Across" album. Could Bill have been been trying them out 2 years before their release? Or is this a typo, if the gig was actually 1986? Also - Does anyone know who the live personnel was? (If it's 1984, I would like to think it included Ian Nelson, Mick Karn & Y. Takahashi, but I doubt it - the drums sound programmed). You can hear the 7 songs in 4 separate Youtube videos here: https://www.youtube.com/@TheThomasOfficial31

- El MocamboIn William's World21 July 2025That's actually a very cool (partial?) setlist: it's all from Bill's 'new' solo years; it includes songs from every album released up to that point; it includes one more that we knew existed (Contemplation) and two that were genuinely fresh and (like Contemplation) would be on the next album. I think I have a CD of the same recordings somewhere. That can't have been the whole set though, can it?21
- Dave Cousins (Strawbs) RIPIn World Outside The Window·19 July 2025I just saw that Dave Cousins of the Strawbs passed away on 13 July. He was 85. As far a I can recall, we only saw the Strawbs once. That was back in 1975 when they opened for Joe Walsh at Winterland. Truth be told, I wasn't a big fan. I probably only ever owned a couple of their releases. The only one that I remember for sure is Hero and Heroine. (still sounds pretty good in that folk-rock-proggy sort of way. May have to scrounge a copy.) Here is a live version from back in 1975. - Royal Festival HallIn William's World20 July 2025It was a great concert, when it finished we went down stairs only to find The Frank Chickens just finishing they`re concert in the foyer, then Bill and Emi walked passed on there way to the after gig cuppa, we said hello and they were as charming as ever. Harry Hosono`s grandson played bass and was also in the first band `Cho Co Pa Co Cho Co Quin Quin who were excellent. Harry was in great form, a true legend. What a night22

- Your Favourite Promo Music Vid'sIn World Outside The Window19 July 2025It's like one of those songs you can't not like...Always kinds liked Aztec Camera, despite them leaning a little too much into the pop side of things, for my taste, really. A great band for me to listen to every now and then...small doses😉1
- Bill Depicted in Wakefield Art ExhibitionIn William's World·17 July 2025Bill appears in an exhibition at Wakefield Exchange (old/new market hall). He is depicted flying around on a Dan Dare style rocket in an animated film featuring local celebrities and others by the artist Jason Wilsher Mills who was also born in Wakefield. - PhotosIn World Outside The Window16 July 2025Yes, cheers mate.....They're not award winning photos, or anything, I just liked how the colours worked together and balanced. Mother nature has a habit of producing beauty in the simplest of things and in the most mundane of places. I think there is a message in that..😉😊1

- Potential Bill Nelson album covers. In The World And His Wife9 July 2025Nice...always cool to have #1..😎 I think the Astroluxe Cadet is a lovely guitar, even though I haven't played one. There's a nice YT video of RJ Ronquillo giving the Astroluxe a workout. It would be a banker bet you had seen this, but I'll post it for anyone else who hasn't. It's well worth a look, I like his playing and he does it justice in this short demo. You can tell he's listened to Bill's playing before recording this, especially in the first section...perhaps he's a fan anyway.
