Throw in the climate change catastrophe (something we've know about for years), decimation of rainforests, extinction of species etc etc etc...and the planet as a whole has probably already tipped into an irreversible decline...an unstoppable destruction...after all, humans do like to kill and destroy, we've been doing it for a long time now and have become very accomplished at it...then, when it's all too late to do anything meaningful about it, we talk about doing something about it..genius. What wonderful guardians of the planet we are.

@Tourist, Dave’s shiny boiler suit goes well with the Super Yob. Both are compatible, made for one another and they present a Sci-Fi Glam statement, one that’s not far away, visually, from from Les Rockets and Roxy Music era Eno. Always liked the pointy shoulders that some people wore then on stage and in photographs. KISS had that with the shoulders at least. All (or much of it) thanks to David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust it could easily be said, a look that partly much sprung from David’s childhood love of NFL gear. The SY could fit in with KISS and Parliament/Funkadelic but it could fit on anywhere even Madness.

Great photo’. I always wonder about passing away peacefully and hope it’s true. The way many of us perceived Ginger Baker I would imagine him in his angry-guy/stubborn-guy/tough-guy mode with that fed-up scowl when hearing or reading the famous poem by Dylan Thomas, Do not go gentle into that good night. A unique character and I’d fantasized a few times about him creating more music with John Lydon ... and John Lennon as well.
