So much of the tech people are more libertarian in their political perspectives and the closest thing to that is to vote Republican. At the risk of making sweeping generalizations, from my experience, these are people who aren't interested in the past or people with problems. When in conversation with them or when I’m physically in their nearby worlds, places like Menlo Park, Palo Alto, or South San Francisco, I feel like I'm from another planet visiting a libertarian world where everything’s recognizable but nothing works the same way, and no one knows where anything is. I can't imagine these people having the same passions as Opus Dei people would have besides voting as close to libertarian as possible, which is Republican. Democratic Party elites and left-leaning political pundits don't understand that plenty of Mexican, Cuban, Guatemalan, and Dominican Americans want to vote for whoever’s going to be tough on immigration. A ‘big, beautiful wall’ makes as much sense to them as it does to a heterosexual man of Northern European descent in Arizona who doesn't want any more immigrants coming in, especially through the Mexican border. There are Black Americans who see Democrats especially Democratic politicians as liars speaking gibberish. They're tired of being patronized. There’s a big group of people from different walks of life who think that anyone is better than Democrats. These are things I've noticed, especially since the post-Clinton era USA.

Last time I was in hospital (A&E), broken foot, after being admitted, I lay on a trolley and waited for 7 hours, before a doctor saw me. During that time I was spoken to just once, by a nurse, who asked how the pain was and that was it. I didn't even get a paracetamol, let alone a drink. That was 2018, so I dread to think what it's like now...The waiting is excruciating, every hour seems like three...nightmare.

While reading the internet, an article caught my eye. It was a list of songs that evoked the Summer of Love - 1967. Certainly, the world was a different place then. Popular music was on AM Radio (here in the States). Anyway, the list had songs that I do not have in my library. So, I supplemented it to fill out an 80-minute CD-R. If you are of a certain age, you may be able to access these tunes in the recesses of your mind. And to remind you that you are old, all of these groups are in the Hall of Fame or dead. Peace. Oh, I really enjoy JustJP's reactions! It's awesome that he reviewed The Love That Whirls album. I think this author deserves more recognition because he's really talented.
