- Mysterious Objects OverheadIn World Outside The Window4 September 2021Mysterious object called 'The Accident' has been careening through the Milky Way for 10 billion years By Brandon Specktor It's not quite a star, and it's not quite a planet — but it's soaring through the Milky Way, much closer than we thought. This artist’s illustration shows a dim, cold brown dwarf in space. Brown dwarfs form like stars, but do not have enough mass to ignite nuclear fusion in their cores – the process that causes stars to burn. As a result they share some physical characteristics with massive planets, like Jupiter. (Image credit: IPAC/Caltech) Source: LiveScience00
- Happy Birthday, Radium GirlIn World Outside The Window7 June 2023Maybe we should buy her a Galaxy Dress. So, she can be the queen of a couple of songs. Of course, she would need "her heels so high". 😍00

- Will you buy an electric car?In World Outside The Window6 June 2023Twilight Zone.... ‘Among the more harrowing incidents: a case last month where a Cruise driverless vehicle drove through police tape at an active crime scene and a scene in January where a Waymo car entered an active construction site and stopped at the edge of an open trench with workers inside it.’ From The San Francisco Chronicle00
- hello floIn World Outside The Window18 June 2021Welcome to the sunny south, wompy2. Although, it's not so sunny right now, and mind the red tide. I hope you like it here. I'm in the Tampa area. There are lots of nice things here, but state politics are not healthy to children and other living things. The only radio I listen to is wmnf.org. Totally listener sponsored, so no commercials, and they play a little bit of everything. One show, Surface Noise, is hosted by Laura Taylor, who is a big Bill Nelson fan. She even does a special show each year in honor of Bill's birthday. She always plays his older music, but it's still nice. If you can't pick it up on your radio, you can stream it online. Cheers!00

- Peter Zinovieff, British composer and synth pioneer, dies aged 88In World Outside The Window27 June 2021A brilliant musician and inventor! I have used the Synthi V in my studio, which is part of the Arturia V collection. Also have used a version of the VCS3 in Reaktor. I know Brian Eno used to process a lot of sounds through the filter of the VCS3, which was an amazing bargain back in the day, when the ARP Axxe and Moog Minimoog were selling for a lot more...00
- Jon HassellIn World Outside The Window27 June 2021Yeah, did you check out that clip with Pino Palladino and some other people? There was some Jon Hassell influence going on there, couldn't help but notice it. Surprised me when a Jon Hassell track was included in a soundtrack for a movie starring Jennifer Lopez called Angel Eyes, in 2001, but I watched it because I wanted to see and hear that combination. It was a straight-ish cover of Nature Boy. Would've been great, I just realized, if she'd asked him to contribute to one of her songs.00
- John McAfee (18 September, 1945 – 23 June, 2021)In World Outside The Window28 June 2021@Perfect Monster he seemed on some level, in the photographs, like he was yacht rock by default. He was the noir side of that, more on the Sammy Hagar side of the Margaritaville spectrum than the Jimmy Buffet side of it. He was adjacent to all categories, really. The only thing about him that actually bugs is the possibility that he murdered someone.00

- Jon HassellIn World Outside The Window27 June 2021Been wondering about him these past few days. He tapped into something unique right from the beginning with ‘Verbal Equinox.’ Intriguing record covers as well, many by Mati Klarwein.00
- Under the busIn World Outside The Window26 June 2021Spot on about Hancock potentially being a useful scapegoat. I wouldn't be surprised if the government's friends in the media were setting him up for just that.0
- Jon HassellIn World Outside The Window30 June 2021That postcard and print in Jon Hassell's trumpet case in 1983 sort of resembles the cover art of his 2020 release . . .00
- Peter Zinovieff, British composer and synth pioneer, dies aged 88In World Outside The Window27 June 2021Thanks for posting this. Yes, I heard the sad news last night. Quite the innovator, and thankfully there are several clips and mini-documentaries on youtube.00
- Under the busIn World Outside The Window26 June 2021He would have resigned if he had any sense back then. I certainly wouldn't want to be in the trenches with Boris Johnson etc.0
- Jon HassellIn World Outside The Window15 September 2021There's much Jon Hassell in this. We get a glimpse into the composing and recording processes. There's also the same with Holger Czukay and his mysterious processes at work in this amazing clip, when you've got about a half an hour or so . . . brilliant trees sessions . Berlin . 198300

- Ask the hell whatever question you wantIn World Outside The Window26 July 2021In biblical sources the Hebrew term the satan describes an adversarial role. It is not the name of a particular character. Although Hebrew storytellers as early as the sixth century B.C.E. occasionally introduced a supernatural character whom they called the satan, what they meant was any one of the angels sent by God for the specific purpose of blocking or obstructing human activity. [Elaine Pagels, "The Origin of Satan," 1995] https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=satan0
