Welcome to the sunny south, wompy2. Although, it's not so sunny right now, and mind the red tide. I hope you like it here. I'm in the Tampa area. There are lots of nice things here, but state politics are not healthy to children and other living things. The only radio I listen to is wmnf.org. Totally listener sponsored, so no commercials, and they play a little bit of everything. One show, Surface Noise, is hosted by Laura Taylor, who is a big Bill Nelson fan. She even does a special show each year in honor of Bill's birthday. She always plays his older music, but it's still nice. If you can't pick it up on your radio, you can stream it online. Cheers!

I know Brian Eno used to process a lot of sounds through the filter of the VCS3, which was an amazing bargain back in the day, when the ARP Axxe and Moog Minimoog were selling for a lot more...

Yeah, did you check out that clip with Pino Palladino and some other people? There was some Jon Hassell influence going on there, couldn't help but notice it. Surprised me when a Jon Hassell track was included in a soundtrack for a movie starring Jennifer Lopez called Angel Eyes, in 2001, but I watched it because I wanted to see and hear that combination. It was a straight-ish cover of Nature Boy. Would've been great, I just realized, if she'd asked him to contribute to one of her songs.

@Perfect Monster he seemed on some level, in the photographs, like he was yacht rock by default. He was the noir side of that, more on the Sammy Hagar side of the Margaritaville spectrum than the Jimmy Buffet side of it. He was adjacent to all categories, really. The only thing about him that actually bugs is the possibility that he murdered someone.

Spot on about Hancock potentially being a useful scapegoat. I wouldn't be surprised if the government's friends in the media were setting him up for just that.
