- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World16 May 2019The Red Ray Space Raynger badges are so cool and so are the Magic Space Glasses0
- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World15 June 2019Reminds me of the photo’ on the front of the Living for the Spangled Moment EP but that was in colour with red (pink?, mauve?, raspberry?) curtains in the background but certainly I’ve seen it before. Sheila Rock — like her ex-husband Mick Rock — really captures perfect moments so amazingly, particularly people’s faces ... but also contexts for those faces. If I didn’t know who you were I’d assume this photograph to have possibly been taken somewhere between 1935 and 1965.0
- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World23 November 2020I was there in the summer of 75 with my parents, parked just to the right of the "castle" looking promenade, there used to be a lido/pool with paddle boats on just across the road. I'm certain that's where I first heard "Maid in heaven". Coming from Hull we spent a lot of time at Withernsea/Bridlington.0
- A Bill Nelson MiscellanyIn William's World6 May 2020Red Ray Moment ... song title. 😎 Must’ve had some connection The Orangery in a previous existence. It seems so familiar and am so drawn to it. It’s a nice story. That separation and the getting used to the separation, the walking home together ...0
- Single Track of the DayIn World Outside The Window4 May 2020I’m a fan of The Buzzcocks and I’m a fan of The Three O’Clock. And when I listen to this track, I can hear how The Three O’Clock were (likely) influenced by The Buzzcocks.0

- Dead FallIn The World And His Wife15 April 2022@sheltech That's a shame. I really like Bernie too. On the above issues (Trump, Putin, WWIII etc), I think Bernie's expressed views are much closer to mine than to yours. You may disagree with this, but I wouldn't know if you're silent. I think our differences in views might be symbolic of a great rift, a great polarisation of views seen at large 'everywhere' online (on these particular issues at least). But whereas it usually remains as hostile non-communicative division, we, as adults with at least two things in common (liking of BS & BN), could discuss uncompromisingly, but without personal animosity (or at least I could, since I like you, and have zero animosity towards you; I'm not sure about you, tbh! 😄). Therefore, you're symbolically betraying everything that's good and decent and worthwhile. 🙀 As Ezra Pound once said, "Peace comes of communication". But, fine, go back to posting pics of cats, since there's a global shortage of that! (I also note that you're not so shy of debating with Vlad, but I won't take that personally 😭).0
- YouTubers rank Be-Bop albumsIn William's World10 August 2022Hmmm.... the bloke with the slight sneer (in the bottom panel), who has only negative - and rather dumb - opinions, really lays on the negativity thickly, as if he takes pleasure in it. I stopped watching after that. I didn't find it informed or interesting. A bunch of young guys spouting opinions for 45 minutes (although the two more positive of them seem harmless enough). Youtube at its most..... Youtube!00
- Dead FallIn The World And His Wife11 April 2022@sheltech @Count Vlad Stumbled by accident across the little political discussion above. Very interesting - you should both post this stuff over in the other forum, where there are already threads for it. You're a Trump supporter, Vlad? Anyway, I like your term "legacy media". I never liked the "mainstream media" cliché, and "legacy" seems to fit. That said, Fox News would presumably be classed as legacy media, and most of your talking points (both of you) seem straight off Fox News, or at least off people who get their talking points from the same sources as Fox News - the obsession with Hunter Biden's laptop, Trump as a sort of maverick peacemaker, establishment liberals as "wanting" war with Russia, etc (nobody, except maybe a few psycho neocons and weapons manufacturers, "want" that war). It's all Fox-style framing/emphasis and selection of messaging. I don't like Biden much, but he immediately ended one "forever war" (something which Trump's apologists had incorrectly promised Trump would do), and reduced the drone strike program drastically from the civilian-deaths peak it "achieved" under Trump. On the current Ukraine situation, Biden has said from the outset that military action against Russia is off the table. And he seems to be sticking to this, so far, despite pressure from some minority nutjob factions. Trump as maverick and "anti-establishment" - that always seemed a joke to me. There's no one "political establishment" - there are several, and Trump is certainly a big part of one of them - the one that leans ideologically heavily to the conservative right. The Republicans seem to adore him. All the Wall Street guys he incorporated in his admin; he's a billionaire property developer! As for Trump as a sort of peacemaker, that seems an even bigger joke to me. Nobel Peace Prize? Get f**ked!! 😉😄 He escalated every conflict he’s presided over, ramping up bombing in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Somalia and Yemen, increasing civilian deaths (in some cases to record-high levels), removing civilian protections and reducing accountability. In the year after he became president he oversaw more than 10,000 US-led coalition airstrikes in Syria and Iraq, with a 215% rise in civilian deaths.00

- Look at the state we're in...In World Outside The Window15 February 2022@jimwarnerbka With Fox News, no surprise. With some of the prominent figures who appear to be taking a similar line to Fox (Edward Snowden, for instance, who is blaming Russia's military build-up on Dems and US media!), it does surprise a little, but not much, tbh.0
- Say what the hell you’d like on Twitter. In World Outside The Window22 February 2022Oh, so that's why there were reports of an imminent invasion of Ukraine by Russia, based on a massive build-up of tanks and troops.... to distract us from a story about the CIA which tells us what we already knew about the CIA? Not the smartest tweet (to put it charitably), quite apart from the fact that it's aged badly in just a few days.00

- Say what the hell you’d like on Twitter. In World Outside The Window28 February 2022Utterly bizarre to me. Western consensus appears 100% against this war, and is focused on non-military solutions. But these commentators argue the exact opposite. Is this "gaslighting"?00
- Say what the hell you’d like on Twitter. In World Outside The Window27 February 2022A few days before the invasion, one of the absolute worst takes, to my mind. That the people against the invasion were the warmongers! And she was running as a Democrat presidential candidate in the US. I wonder how many Ukrainians she's talked to lately. Does she think they're all welcoming the Russians as freeing them from tyranny?00
- Single Track of the DayIn World Outside The Window1 March 2023From the new Gorillaz album, Cracker Island, which sounds very 'melodic pop' to my ears - in a good way.00
- Harold BuddIn William's World28 January 2021@Bill Nelson, I see now that it's a hoodie that you're wearing in the top photo', but the way that hoodie looks and with your haircut, the Japanese bells, well, it's all very much with-religious-cult-implications-emanating-from that can't be ignored by me at first glance. 😊 The cult of magick music.0

- Look at the state we're in...In World Outside The Window6 July 2021@Palladium Bullshit... propaganda.. check the stats, no pandemic, it's a casedemic, in fact more people are dying of the jab now than convid. Enjoy your leftist fascist ramblings but remember what I said when the shit hits the fan...and I don't mean the Bill Nelson fan :):):) ;)0
- Look at the state we're in...In World Outside The Window6 July 2021@blazingapostle99 I find your comment to our fellow Nelsonian unfair and mean-spirited. I'm not going to debate your ideas, because I've lost two friends and a family member to your, so-called propaganda. I wish you and yours all the best.0
