They were a great band, Lemmy was a great showman, the band in it's various line-ups were great showmen...you always got a great rock & roll show when Motorhead played..oh yeah, and killer music.00

- Guitar Question: The ‘Super Yob’ ... ?In World Outside The Window7 October 2019😎 ty for the info, Tourist. I seem to remember reading an interview with Chrissy Boy sometime back and Slade was mentioned. Dave in that photo could’ve collaborated with 1973-1974 era Eno and it might’ve been some spiffy results. 👌🏼✨0
- Barrie Masters ripIn World Outside The Window7 October 2019Such a shame....a band I really liked back in the day. 'Ignore Them' is a great track (B-side to 'I Might Be Lying' 7" single)...and by far the better track.. ...and, who can forget this single from 1977, an absolute classic!!...timeless, still relevant and still sounds great! Eddie & The Hot Rods - Do Anything You Wanna Do - 1977 45rpm Gonna break out of the city Leave the people here behind Searching for adventure It's the type of life to find Tired of doing day jobs With no thanks for what I do I'm sure I must be someone Now I'm gonna find out who Why don't you ask them what they expect from you? Why don't you tell them what you are gonna do? You'll get so lonely, maybe it's better that way It ain't you only, you got something to say Do anything you wanna do Do anything you wanna do Don't need no politicians to tell me things I shouldn't be Neither no opticians to tell me what I oughta see No one tells you nothing even when you know they know But they tell you what you should do They don't like to see you grow Why don't you ask them what they expect from you? Why don't you tell them what you are gonna do? You'll get so lonely, maybe it's better that way It ain't you only, you got something to say Do anything you wanna do Do anything you wanna do Gonna break out of the city Leave the people here behind Searching for adventure It's the type of life to find Tired of doing day jobs With no thanks for what I do I'm sure I must be someone Now I'm gonna find out who Why don't you ask them what they expect from you? - Ginger Baker, wild and brilliant Cream drummer, dies aged 80In World Outside The Window6 October 2019The way he cut other drummers in Rock and Pop down to size with an incomprehension behind the scorn, a Jazz drummer’s incomprehension, was interesting but you see him clean-shaven and wearing a suit-and-tie looking like a noir-era actor and you see that, at heart, he was a jazzer. That documentary was ... compelling. It’s impossible to look away. Ginger Baker was an entertaining writer as well. Used to stare at the cover of ‘Disraeli Gears’ by Cream when I was a child and listen over and over. Even as a child I felt the drumming was a different kind of thing, the drummer felt the music a little differently and generated a soundscape all his own. It’s great that he got the satisfaction of being accepted among African players and Jazz players as the real deal. I kept up with his social media presence a bit and it was cool that he was still gigging very recently, confining those gigs to England, every time I checked, which was understandable, given the health. I always think of him in those clips that he featured in with The Graham Bond Organisatiom looking sharp and playing that smooth and jazzy Pop and that time he bonked on the nose the documentary filmmaker. What a mind. What a drummer.00
