- PhotosIn World Outside The Window23 March 2021I scanned some photos today from a 1979 family holiday in Hereford near Hergest Ridge. A bit out of focus, but not too bad. Top to bottom: Hergest Ridge (Welsh end) from Hanter Hill. Always makes me think of a great green whale covered in barnacles. Dramatic-looking tree at the Welsh end of the ridge. Beyond is a 300-400 foot sharp decent to the village of Gladestry. Whetstone at the English end of the ridge, with Hanter Hill beyond.13
- New Vibrato WonderlandIn William's World28 December 2020Have listened to it 3 -4 times and can't get into it. But that doesn't matter--when Dreamland to Starboard came out years ago, for about a year I couldn't get into it, then one day it "hit me" and now it's one of my favorites. This one is going to take a while to digest. That's one thing about Bill's music, it takes a while to digest.13

- Wakefield and PoliticsIn The World And His Wife·27 May 2022I'll keep this short as it is not music related. We are looking for some people locally who can help distribute leaflets in the Wakefield area for the upcoming by-election. We act as 'non party campaigners' with a single goal of getting the Tories out in the area. We leave it to the other parties to make their own case as to the alternatives. Please see https://brexitrage.com/brexit-doesnt-pay for more details. An example of the postcards we use is attached. If you can help please call me 07725 927585.13129

- “Chimera” anniversaryIn William's World7 May 2021It's a very dense album (EP?) - there's a lot going on in most of the tracks. I wonder how a re-mastered version would sound? I'm just dreaming... Better get back on the beam.13

- ResemblancesIn William's World·29 December 2022Happy Christmas everyone! Just watched the 1951 film Pandora and the Flying Dutchman and was struck by a slight resemblance of Bill to James Mason. Maybe it was the surreal mythological themes that made me think this. After all Man Ray did the stage sets. And Ava Gardner is gorgeous as ever. Anyone else thought this?13265

- BowieIn World Outside The Window15 February 2023This series of grins reminds me of a dream I once had that was about 10 seconds in length where Alec Guinness and David were in an old-time looking b&w movie together. David had a bowler on and was grinning as Alec was telling a funny story inaudible to the viewer. Alec looked as he did in ‘The Lavender Hill Mob.’1

- Bill is discussed on ‘The Album Years’ podcast. In William's World26 October 2024The album years podcast is like listening to the same things the NME used to print in the late 70s early 80s .... banal opinions about most of the music I had no interest in at the time ... Steven Wilsons opinions are a lot like his music ...occasionally insightful but mostly conservative and derivative ...... sounds a little harsh but there you go 😉13
- White cover Sound on Sound. In William's World10 October 2024I've got a vague memory of seeing one of those in a box at a record fair about forty years ago. Obviously, in those days, the idea of buying a copy in a different sleeve just wasn't affordable. It's nice to now know that it was real and I didn't just dream it! [Yes, I used to have dreams about finding amazing records in boxes at record fairs! Sad, I know.]13
