- The British Know How To Subtly Offend A Person And These 30 Tweets Prove ItIn World Outside The Window29 October 2021Just dawned on me how a franchise name like Mr. Donut might be funny to a visiting English person. Mr. Donut "Meet the 'Misters*' who make Mister DONUT better because 'We put our heart in it!' " Mister Donut Franchise Advertising, 1965 Anyway . . . carry on.00
- Has anyone else encoutered this?In World Outside The Window29 October 2021The Ghost album Second Time Around (1997) is one of my favourites and one of my favourite record covers as well.00
- Has anyone else encoutered this?In World Outside The Window26 October 2021Was thinking of Ghost the other day. Loved the commune/cult(ic) implications and the record sleeves particularly. Liked the music, too, of course.0

- RIP Ronnie Wilson Gap BandIn World Outside The Window4 November 2021Whoa. Those hits are in my head often. I just watched the 'Bomb' promo video a few days ago. 'Oops' was so huge when I was a teenager.00
- Has anyone else encoutered this?In World Outside The Window26 October 2021I haven't, but watching a number of reactors on Youtube, it is clear that some have a far harder time than others, with one using a video with no problems while another using the same video getting blocked.00
- Has anyone else encoutered this?In World Outside The Window26 October 2021On the original lack of replies, Serge, I don't think it's lack of interest. It happens to me usually when my post gets only a few views - typically when it goes quickly to the bottom of page (as a result of a ton of newer posts to those long-running threads suddenly appearing).00
- Dean Stockwell [1936 - 2021]In World Outside The Window10 November 2021RIP. He always brought something extra to the parts he played.00
- Well, it's been a while but I've been keeping an eye on you all from afar ;-)In World Outside The Window22 November 2021Indeed, I may slip in and out, but will be forever engulfed 😉0
- Well, it's been a while but I've been keeping an eye on you all from afar ;-)In World Outside The Window22 November 2021😀 Hi there Michael – ah-ha, synchronicity perhaps! Glad to hear that you still listen occasionally and am forever thankful for your support of truly independent musics of all types. I've been producing new things over the years, more in the ambient/experimental genres and have plans for official releases (of old and new materials) which always seem to get held up for some reason or another, but I don't want to blab on about that too much here and will place threads in 'The World and His Wife' when appropriate. Thank you once more for the generosity of spirit that you've shown over the years, to those who languish in the lower echelons of the soaked world of music and art 😎0

- Bamber GascoigneIn World Outside The Window17 February 2022Shame that...I can clearly remember watching the black & white ones back in the '60s, with mum and dad, always a family favourite. Paxman's not bad in the role actually and it continued to be a favourite of my mum's, right up to when she was 92 and we always enjoyed watching it together. It's a rare show that's basically the same over and over, but you never get tired of it. The Young Ones sketch was great fun.00
- New Killing JokeIn World Outside The Window16 February 2022Thanks for letting us know about it. Like the way the vocals sound and the vocal melodies gliding along and above it all. Can relate to these lyrics as well.00

- Ian McDonald, King crimson, RIPIn World Outside The Window14 February 2022He had a knack for contributing to big pop hits like that string of Foreigner albums and 'Get It On (Bang A Gong)' by T-Rex and the always amazing 'The Court Of The Crimson King' by King Crimson. Haven't heard that McDonald & Giles eponymous in a while . . . I like this detail from the Ian McDonald Wikipedia entry . . . A trailer for a King Crimson documentary was released a week before his death, where McDonald apologised to Fripp for leaving the band in 196900
- Betty DavisIn World Outside The Window12 February 2022I missed that - didn't see it reported here in the UK. An important influence on Miles, turning him onto the music and culture of the late 60s, as well as being a formidable performer in her own right. I don't have any of her own work, but will dig out "Filles de Kilimanjaro", with her on the cover, and track 5 "Mademoiselle Mabry". (And having done that, I am reminded that it uses that catchy chord change from "The Wind Cries Mary". Betty is often credited as having introduced Hendrix's music to Miles.)00
- any tik tok folks? In World Outside The Window7 February 2023Yes, he's one of my favorite Oz characters. Thanks for asking.00

- Musician IncomeIn World Outside The Window23 February 2023It's true that advertising can be expensive and is often necessary for making money in creative industries like music. However, there are also other ways to promote your work and build an audience, such as social media or word of mouth. Regardless of the industry, starting any business requires some amount of capital, whether it's for advertising, equipment, or other expenses. One way to earn money without having to invest a lot of capital upfront is by playing the best solitaire apps for real money. - Better Than The Original? In World Outside The Window30 May 2023CLIFFDIVER - Oh Bondage, Up Yours! ...Better than the original?...don't know about that, I love the original version and X-Ray Spex. This is a really great version by Cliffdiver, though and I really like the faster pace...and a neat little guitar solo, to boot..😎 BTW, Cliffdiver bass player, Tyler Rogers, was almost killed in a freak car-accident three or four days ago...Thankfully, after losing around 4 pints of blood, having his carotid artery punctured and his jugular lacerated and fractures in his neck, following emergency surgery and intensive care, he is out of danger and stable and latest news looks like he's now out of hospital and back home. So a speedy recovery and best wishes to him...Hope you're back playing with the band very soon Tyler and able to tour in July. Tyler Rogers, recovering following emergency surgery.00
