Whoa. Those hits are in my head often. I just watched the 'Bomb' promo video a few days ago. 'Oops' was so huge when I was a teenager.

I haven't, but watching a number of reactors on Youtube, it is clear that some have a far harder time than others, with one using a video with no problems while another using the same video getting blocked.

On the original lack of replies, Serge, I don't think it's lack of interest. It happens to me usually when my post gets only a few views - typically when it goes quickly to the bottom of page (as a result of a ton of newer posts to those long-running threads suddenly appearing).

Shame that...I can clearly remember watching the black & white ones back in the '60s, with mum and dad, always a family favourite. Paxman's not bad in the role actually and it continued to be a favourite of my mum's, right up to when she was 92 and we always enjoyed watching it together. It's a rare show that's basically the same over and over, but you never get tired of it. The Young Ones sketch was great fun.

He had a knack for contributing to big pop hits like that string of Foreigner albums and 'Get It On (Bang A Gong)' by T-Rex and the always amazing 'The Court Of The Crimson King' by King Crimson. Haven't heard that McDonald & Giles eponymous in a while . . . I like this detail from the Ian McDonald Wikipedia entry . . . A trailer for a King Crimson documentary was released a week before his death, where McDonald apologised to Fripp for leaving the band in 1969

I missed that - didn't see it reported here in the UK. An important influence on Miles, turning him onto the music and culture of the late 60s, as well as being a formidable performer in her own right. I don't have any of her own work, but will dig out "Filles de Kilimanjaro", with her on the cover, and track 5 "Mademoiselle Mabry". (And having done that, I am reminded that it uses that catchy chord change from "The Wind Cries Mary". Betty is often credited as having introduced Hendrix's music to Miles.)

CLIFFDIVER - Oh Bondage, Up Yours! ...Better than the original?...don't know about that, I love the original version and X-Ray Spex. This is a really great version by Cliffdiver, though and I really like the faster pace...and a neat little guitar solo, to boot..😎 BTW, Cliffdiver bass player, Tyler Rogers, was almost killed in a freak car-accident three or four days ago...Thankfully, after losing around 4 pints of blood, having his carotid artery punctured and his jugular lacerated and fractures in his neck, following emergency surgery and intensive care, he is out of danger and stable and latest news looks like he's now out of hospital and back home. So a speedy recovery and best wishes to him...Hope you're back playing with the band very soon Tyler and able to tour in July. Tyler Rogers, recovering following emergency surgery.
