- Atmosphere, Nostalgia and GhostsIn World Outside The Window1 March 2020Reminds me of chocolate chips and follow-the-leader. There's something sort of Catholic about it as well or at least church-leader-and-flock about it. Many interpretations possible.0

- Atmosphere, Nostalgia and GhostsIn World Outside The Window12 April 2021@Tourist thanks, mate. I can't take the cred for it. My friend Eric texted it to me and I thought it looked angelic or idealised and, especially when viewed on small screen, the face has this glow that gives the illusion of being made of ice maybe or some other unexpected material. I thought immediately of one of my favourite songs from childhood, Grey Seal, by Elton John, lyrics from Bernie Taupin of course, specifically that line [and how it's delivered] '. . . and tell me, grey seal, how does it feel to be so wise, to see through eyes that only see what's real . . . - Atmosphere, Nostalgia and GhostsIn World Outside The Window26 May 2020@Tourist Was “Young Savage” reportage? That was about someone I knew. A friend of mine had a son who was a bit of a tearaway and was in a gang who used to break into houses. They were all about 14. They were always in trouble and some of them lived rough around London. It was like something out of Dickens, like the way McLaren later tried to portray the Pistols. It was unbelievable. This gang numbered around five or six kids. They used to push him in through windows as he was very small. It felt like savagery, the gang were young savages. It felt like the times. The two things came together neatly. https://www.google.com/amp/theartsdesk.com/new-music/theartsdesk-qa-musician-john-foxx%3famp0
