- David Hepworth - music journalist - and WakefieldIn William's World·8 January 2020Just started reading a book by David Hepworth, the music journalist and writer, and one-time Old Grey Whistle Test presenter. ("A Fabulous Creation: How the LP Saved Our Lives") In the first chapter, he says that in 1967, at the age of 16, he was attending a private school in the north of England, and frequented a shop called the Record Bar, run by Ken and Betty. "Hang on", I thought, "That sounds familiar!". So I checked up, and sure enough, he attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield. Bill, I appreciate that he is slightly younger than you, and that, in attending that school, he probably may as well have been on another planet, from your point of view. But I'm curious. Did you ever come across him then? Or did you ever meet him later and discover your Wakefield connection?13331
- Dreamsville Display Change? In World Outside The Window·20 January 2020Is anyone else experiencing a change to how the forum is displayed on their device? I am now seeing a series of 'pop-up' content boxes on my display, running down the righthand side, that were never previously there (at least in my experience)..see the quick screen-capture below. As a rough guess, it looks like this newly appeared content it taking up around 25% of what would normally be shown..e.g. If you are viewing an image, you are now only seeing approx. 75% of what you could see before this new content appeared.. I don't know if it's an anomaly with my PC/settings (I doubt it) and I don't know if others are experiencing this...But, I find it really quite annoying to my overall viewing experience/pleasure and seem unable to disable it and revert to a clean display (i.e. annoying boxes gone) showing full 100% view/display as before. If this is a new feature fair enough, and I suppose some may like it...If it is, is there a way to disable it?....If it's not, them I'm a bit stumped..anyone got any ideas? It's particularly annoying when viewing images, but also for the overall interactive experience, having this 'clutter' in the way...quite obtrusive....I do hope this seemingly minor snag can be resolved...(unless it's just me?)1370
- Old posts coming up......In William's World·20 January 2020Seem to see a fair few old posts coming up to the top without a current comment or post to make that happen.....my own as an example here below, but without a recent comment to justify it's resurrection...….seems strange unless I'm missing something.....'spam' again or something of the sort?13147

I remember Marvelman – Secret Club for Members Only This may be disc one of Nelsonica 02-07. I stopped at 79 minutes of a cd. Clocks and Dials kicked off Nelsonica 08. And We Fell into A Dream was a bonus cd available at Nelsonica 07. I will need to do more research to document the Nelsonica's - that I never attended, as I live on the other side of the world. Full disclosure: I was gifted Caliban and the Chrome Harmonium as I donated towards the digital age, but I did not use any of the songs. All of these songs are available right here on the website or lurking in your collections already. They are brilliant.1
