- U.K.SUBS...In World Outside The Window·23 December 2024First wave punk band. I'm a massive fan, still, and seen them many times. Any other fans here? I usually can't stand old bands churning out the same old stuff from decades past and many times, I think it's quite sad really. But with the U.K.SUBS, I don't feel any of that. I'm posting part of a set they performed in Amsterdam, earlier this year, and they sound bang on. You gotta remember, Charlie Harper (singer) had just turned 80 years old when they played this gig, I mean, not bad going and he still sounds pretty damn good. I'll always have a soft spot for the SUBS!...💪😎 UK Subs 27 May 2024 Amsterdam, Melkweg Rock on Charlie!!2156

- LATE PASSINGS...In William's World29 August 2022In the past few years, we’ve lost so my talented people. Musicians I’ve grown up with. Some I’d seen in concert, but many I only knew through their albums. Yes, it is terribly depressing. But we need to celebrate their creation, and the fact they’ve left a record of their talent for us to visit again & again. .21
- Signs, signs… everywhere signs…In World Outside The Window17 October 2023I didn't know this shop, obviously, but it's a pity it's gone. It's little shops and stores like that, along with the bigger stuff, that gives the streets a heart and soul.... Many of which are now, sadly, gone forever.2
- "Cries and Whispers" - half-priceIn William's World·20 February 2025Burning Shed has the "Cries and Whispers" book at half-price until the end of February. "Detailing the fascinating musical adventures of Richard Barbieri, Rob Dean, Steve Jansen, Mick Karn and David Sylvian from 1983 to 1991, the book takes in Sylvian’s solo work, The Dolphin Brothers, Dali’s Car, the brilliant but ill-feted reunion release Rain Tree Crow, and more. Designed by Carl Glover, it includes many rare photographs, plus contributions from Bill Nelson, Johnny Marr, Bill Bruford, Robbie Aceto, Simon Raymonde, Ivo, Martin Fry, Michael Brook, Tim Bowness, Paul Morley, Thomas Dolby, the late Colin Vearncombe and others." https://burningshed.com/store/flash-sale/anthony-reynolds_cries-and-whispers_book21170

- BowieIn World Outside The Window10 September 2022Hi Palladium..Yes, I did mention it was created in Midjourney..😉 I think it was a really clever idea to use song lyrics and sync the resultant AI generated images to the actual song. Ofc, there will be some 'polish' applied to the prompts used, but as stated, minimal, and I think the finished sequence looks really great and fits the song very well...I'm sure Dvid Bowie would be impressed....Indeed, I think there are a couple or more 'wow' visual moments, and one of these for me is exactly the one you mention ("check ignition, etc"), which is very striking..quite stunning really...definitely would make a great standalone piece of art. Other highlights for me include: 1:43 "and i'm floating in a most peculiar way" 1:48 "and the stars look very different today" 2:05 "far above the world" 2:50 "i'm feeling very still" 3"03 "tell my wife i love her very much"...fantastic 3:22 "can you hear me, major tom?"...absolutely fabulous and would make a great actual Bowie album cover, with a 'light' Ps re-edit to give it a little more sophistication and balance. Also: 3:27, 3:28, 3:37 and 3:46(fab) and the main Astronaut looks perfect for this song. ...well that's not many then!..🤣.......Great video..😎2

- BowieIn World Outside The Window19 February 2022One of the last pictures in British pop mags of Bowie with the Ziggy look before it all went silent for a while. I never bought pop mags after this, so that's why it's all I post! All pop mags in 1974 had pictures like this from the RR video in Amsterdam, and a few of the 1980 Floor Show from the previous end of year, and that was it! Maybe I should publish them all in a vanity project - 25 copies for those that give a shit - that would be fun/expensive/futile/and expensive once again.... I love posting them up here though, otherwise they would rot.....21

- BowieIn World Outside The Window11 February 2021.....and here's a massive fold out poster mag which also got the blu -tack treatment the year that blu-tack was marketed - it was always drawing pins or sellotape before.....this goes for a bomb on ebay so I believe.....they could've chosen a better picture for Dave's face though - looks like he's got something stuck in his teeth and trying to wriggle it out!21

- Lou Ottens, inventor of the cassette tape, dies aged 94In World Outside The Window12 March 2021Cassettes were a real game changer back in the day. I used to record all of my albums as soon as I got them home. That way the lps stayed pristine. Beat the hell out of 8-tracks in the car. Better sound and took up a lot less space. (they are back too apparently.) I had a friend back in high school in Santa Clara. He had an cassette changer. You piled cassettes in the hopper and the first side of each would be played. There is also a lot of new material being releases on cassettes. Amazing.21
