- The Last LamplighterIn William's World19 September 2021Lovely musings Tourist ❤ I agree that the last lamplighter has a particular collection of textures that grow with a warm glow over time .. a piece of Bill Nelsons ethos ... strangely this album makes me think of Donald Fagens "sunken condos" cd which is odd as its not remotely similar other than it has a vibe that would fit well with your late night listening preference 👍💕 it would receive more plays here if I took the time to burn the artwork etc ... I have a pile of cdrs which I will pull from that are not labelled in anyway ...full albums and mixes so every one is a surprise 😂 its all Bills material ... now for me an album in a simliar style that I do think is one of Bills finest is "Old Haunts" ... phew a masterpiece.... I have to remember to breath...my serious listening time is in the bath at night (and often in the morning as well :) and I make mixes for the shower ....my best time to create is in the morning between 6 -11 am ...I do believe we are the most fortunate of humans to be able to immerse ourselves in such musical bliss❤21

- Death of John MilesIn William's World6 December 2021Sad news, once again. 😯 John Miles featured in the Radio Times Christmas issue photograph in which I was also featured, alongside John Peel who had picked me as his his 'tip for the top' back when I had just dissolved the original Be Bop Deluxe line up and was still searching for new members to make up the latest line up of the band. John Miles turned up to the photo' session in full chain mail armour. Never quite understood why, but those were peculiar days... RIP John...21

- My Private Cosmos - initial impressionIn William's World1 January 2022New Year's Eve and I got my copy in the mail today. What a perfect way to transition from one year to another. Here is to 2022 and all what brings us music wise! [Sort of hoping for a disc of the month club. Got to get the old inventory out the door! Physical discs and then band camp. - My Private Cosmos - initial impressionIn William's World18 January 2022I have had my copy of My Private Cosmos for about three weeks now. Only three discs in as I keep going back to hear each again before moving on. Amazing collection thus far! I now consider My Private Cosmos one of my all time favorites and I'm still only half way through! My hope is that this set receives it's well deserved recognition. Thank you Bill for an amazing set of music!21

Bastille Month, known as Mois de la Fédération in France, is famous for its stunning celebrations dedicated to France and its ongoing commitment to liberté, égalité, et fraternité. - RIP @antheannewton's old nameIn World Outside The Window·7 August 2023It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of long time Dreamsville member , and friend , antheannewton's old name yesterday. For those of us who aren't blessed enough to know him in real life, July 7th, 2023 seemed like a regular day by all means. But something sinister was brewing in the southern hemisphere. antheannewton got drunk and decided to submit a form to the Justice of Peace to ask if he can change his name to Jean-Michel Andre Jarre, a loving tribute to the extant synthesizer legend of the same name. He documented this droll name change on Instagram via two seperate posts, both made while he was still intoxicated. These two posts, seemingly identical in message, allow us to peer into the life of a merry chap mere moments after he made a life-changing mistake that would cost him $200 AUD. Whether or not the name change will be accepted by the Justice of Peace we still don't know.2187
