I've just had a quick look at the most recent posts and it looks like only four or five of us have been active on this forum for the past few months. What happened to everybody else?
I still pop in and out as often as I can (I have the spaces app on my phone for handiness) but I have not posted in quite a long time. I suspect that, like a lot of people, I have become very suspicious of the internet and find myself constantly weighing up the pros and cons of using it. With the exception of Linkedin I do not have a social media presence and when I retire in October this year I will shut that down too. I am amazed how something that obviously took such a huge amount of education and knowledge to put together can be the source of so much danger and acquired stupidity. but hey, there's nothing as queer as folk.
I occasionally visit, mostly to check on BN news. Feel less inclined to post these days, although my appreciation for Bill's music remains as high as ever (probably even higher, if that's possible!). I miss the latest 'news and politics' type banter - especially of the kind that Bill sometimes posted here (I recall those long threads he started on Trump, Boris Johnson, etc). But the internet as a whole has changed in that regard, I guess - polarisation, etc. Never mind - we still have the art and music to celebrate, and it seems better than ever. Those latest two BN releases - totally off-the-scale great, for me! How does the man do it!? 😎😍
yes it is odd but not too unexpected, attention is scattered more these days, some forums like Steve Hoffman, Cookd & Bombd and one for The Fall are very busy but on long standing ones like VG+ (a record collecting forum) I've noticed have threads watched but with little viewer participation. I come here on a regular basis, OK often to post my latest mix in the World & His Wife thread but I always look around others an contribute now and then. Social media has a LOT to answer for!
I read often, and join in occasionally. Haven’t been v well, though am loads better now. Back in a wheelchair. Rock on 😁

I haven't been here in ages. Must have a look in more.
I am here. Always Overlooking Ancient China. I really miss Bill. I wonder if he likes noodles.
hmmm,
well Bill now seems to be posting on Facebook (so I'm lead to believe), so this place is kinda obsolete & moribund ☹️
I don't do Fakebook - so that's it ...
