Amazing that England was the warmest country in Europe some days back and was up there with the warmest places in the world, like Cairo. Today, I got a notification that the island of Lesbos is experiencing severe wildfires. The heatwave continues?
Just over 100 degrees here, this afternoon...Kept out of the sun, stayed inside mostly and been ok...temperature cooling down now thankfully, but this weather really is a problem for the elderly, those with underlying health issues and the vulnerable...Been keeping the animals, wildlife, garden birds well watered.
We can expect more of these extreme hot spells in the future, I'm afraid, and I heard a report yesterday, that around the year 2050, and possibly much sooner, temperatures like this will be the norm.
Man has done so much plundering and damage to the environment, and exploited resources unchecked world-wide, over the last 100 years or so, it's not surprizing to see these extreme weather events..😞

92 here today with 100 heat index. I'm headed to the pool.....
“Heatwave… heatwave… why is it coming down, on the young & foolish?”
.
Exactly. And weather like this here would at least give us some afternoon storms, but nothing until Monday of next week. Maybe.
