I only remember the opening and that font but Three’s Company and Cheers might be similar. The music is by Charles Fox who gave us among others the themes of Love, American Style, and The Love Boat. Norman Gimbel provided the words. Fox & Gimbel also wrote Killing Me Softly With His Song.
So strange, I was thinking about this program just a couple of months ago, first time in many years. A random thought out of the blue. I used to watch this with my dad back in the late 60's and remember we both enjoyed it. I can't remember much about it and I haven't bothered looking it up on Wikki or anything, but seem remember it was 'Clarence the cross eyed lion'
Funny you should mention it because I took a screenshot just as that character appeared in the clip. Seemed instantly appealing to the child in me. It was at that moment that I remembered watching the show as a child.
Watched this often when a young un . There was a similar one called “Just Kidding.” Did you ever see that one? It seems to still be going and I haven’t found the ‘70s one that I remember. It might’ve been only in the Bay Area.
‘Quincy, M.E.’ theme is a nice TV theme. I think of it as a Quincy Jones score but it isn't. It's a Stu Phillips.
But Quincy Jones has left us. Amongst all the cool soundtracks, Quincy Jones gave us ‘Sanford & Son’, which I always think of as a Henry Mancini. ‘S&S’ theme is a jigsaw puzzle of jittery groove and melody but what are some of his others? 🤔
